And that is when I start having money problems.

Overworld map of ALTTP; 100,000 pieces.

    Take all my money.

  3. suppadelicious

Hope it is more like Star Wars or Batman and less like Mario.

“License conflict” doesn’t sound too promising for a Lego set. Maybe a Mega Blocks set is in the works?

  5. DukeSi1v3r

It’s a license conflict, there is more then likely no Zelda set coming.

  6. KuraiTheBaka

They’re probably just tired of them when they don’t have the license lol

Subheading: “Could an official set be on the way? **Probably not.**”

Everyone put your credit card back in your wallet.

The article suggests because ether phrasing is different from the verbiage used for Mario that they can’t do anything with the Zelda IP due to licensing issues.

I’d doubt Nintendo would partner with Lego for Mario and then go with something like Mega Bloks for a different IP. Pokémon does stuff with Mega Bloks but they’re kind of the exception given their organizational structure.

The likely thing is there’s nothing planned and they’re turning down these suggestions because it’s an IP they know they can’t use.

Idk if many of you know but it seems like nintendo is SUPER strict about lego mario. Most enemy pieces have patterns printed on, this is one of the few lego sets to not have any stickers at all. It has entire gimmick attached to it. I dont want to sound like a downer but it feels designed in a way to be restrictive. I dont think they could restrict zelda sets in a similar way.

You know how cool it could be having the technology from the Mario sets incorporated into a Zelda set? I want a Link that is a combination the original 8-bit Link, with some tweaks and changes to add in the digital system like the Mario toy.

You can get sets like the Mario ones, used them to build your own custom dungeons that can come with items for the Link to hold, including a boss, and maybe even a small Triforce piece.

Honestly, if a Zelda kit is coming, please let it be something like that.

You guys have NO IDEA how many people try to spam this subreddit with their Zelda themed Lego Ideas.

  12. no1keroppi

😭 time to just buy the coliseum and diy a lego lynel to make it the coliseum ruins

  13. SexyButStoopid

If they did a hyrule castle kind of set that would be the first lego set I’d ever buy.

  14. James-Avatar

Give me Lego Temple of Time, or Lego Hyrule Castle, or Lego Tarrey Town, or Lego Tetra’s Pirate Ship, I’d buy them all.

  15. VorpalBender

Oh well.. we’ll just bombard LEGO with Metroid requests instead, lol.

  16. SylveonTheHedgehog

Either they are in the works of one already, or they just don’t want to. Zelda is more not really for children.

  17. Sterling-Arch3r

you only need to get the idea once and they had it ages ago anyways

  18. Oh great. More products that I deem too expensive but end up buying anyway.

Anyone else had to click on the article to 100% verify the meaning of “blocking” in this context

  20. Can’t stop me from thinking about Links’s Awakening legos

  21. YDoICLeprechauns

I havnt bought anything lego other than the NES, but I would buy ALL the Zelda lego sets if they had them.

  22. Sussyimposter14

I think differently. It is different wording than mario because mario already has sets. No reason zelda would be a licensing conflict when nintendo and lego already have countless sets. To me this confirms lego zelda is in the works just VERY early on in terms of contract negotiations and set designs arent even on the table yet

  23. agbirdyka

Please no lego zelda…link is allready perfect!

  24. nanapipirara

I really dislike how “ideas” has become mostly an “IP request” show ☹️

  25. bboymixer

Considering how fucking awful the Mario ones look, why are people asking for Zelda ones?

  26. busaccident

Of course. Idk why they were taking them in the first place. It’s not up to LEGO. Nintendo will decide to make Zelda Lego sets when Nintendo wants to and not a minute sooner. That’s just how they are unfortunately

  27. Roguesuperman37

Does it seem obvious that this preempts Zelda TOTK by a few months? Seems like the perfect time to release a barrage of TOTK content- including Lego sets.

  28. Master_of_reeeeee

NOTHING STOPPING US FROM DOING KIRBY!!!!!!!1!!

  29. Seymour-Krelborn

They quietly did that with Mario when the actual sets were in development. This could just mean Zelda sets are coming
