So, what do you guys prefeer: a downgraded game or no game at all?

  2. Automatic-Carpet8874

For demanding games it seems like you have two choices on the Switch ok performance and butt ugly graphics or decent graphics and bad performance.

This game should’ve been canceled for the switch. The switch hardware is so outdated at this point that it isn’t even funny, and nintendo seriously needs to release a new console soon with much better hardware inside of it. There’s only so many times you can point at the devs and say ‘it’s ur fault’ before it becomes obvious that it’s the hardwares fault and not the devs.

Jesus all the rails makes this landscape look ridiculous. Some of the levels look silly with all of them too.

If I do get this game I’ll be getting it in ps5, however switch version doesnt really look that bad. Performance has alot to be desired but it’s not witcher 3

With each passing review of a Switch port, the cries for a Switch 2 or Switch Pro grow ever louder.

I love watching their breakdowns. Sometimes they get into the weeds, but it seems very clear that the Switch version of this game was whittled down to its simplest form in a way that does diminish its appeal.

I have it for ps5 and some cut scenes were horrible. Scream tearing and I have a lgc1 with VRR. Updates are needed badly.

Since I have received my Steam Deck, I haven’t bought a single third party game on the Switch and I might never do anymore.

After the Ark survival over haul update. I’m thinking they are just lazy porting games on the switch.

At least it’s not like the Wii days when SEGA would task Dimps with making an alternate version of the game for Wii and/or (3)DS while the “real” version is on PS3/360. Switch owners actually get to play “Sonic Team’s Sonic Frontiers”, not a “Dimps Sonic Frontiers”.

I have a Switch and a gaming PC. I’ll pick this game up on the PC when it goes on sale. If they didn’t gimp the PC version, I’d pay full price.

People acting like PS5 doesn’t have atrocious pop-in

I love the game, playing on the switch, I guess I’m just not that demanding

As someone who’s playing it on switch graphics don’t even matter that much. I’m usually a big 60fps only 1080p minimum guy but the game is fun enough that you kind of just stop caring after you start playing (like botw but to a lesser extent)

  16. LubberDownUnder

Yup this and the Nintendolife review has completely put me off. 😢

Game’s great! Not a graphics person, obviously downgraded and not as good as other consoles, but I don’t care and it’s still fun! Probably my favorite 3D Sonic game.

  18. Digital Foundry insist on denying Nintendo DNA.
Nintendo does not compete on tech!

Pokemon Red&Blue, 1998. Monochrome Game Boy. A console that went from 1989 to 2003. The game sold 31 million copies. It sold more than Final Fantasy VII (14 million copies) which was released on more powerful hardware, the PS1.

Tech wise the system competed against: Playstation 1, Saturn, N64, Arcades, and PC market among others.

Say all you want about Nintendo, the Switch and its practices. Go develop a 100 million seller system, do your R&D, and lunch a game console. Then critic and give your opinion.

You buy Nintendo consoles for its exclusives wether you like it or not.

  19. i saw the gameplay for this , and i have only one question – why this game exist ???

Aside from the downgraded graphics, I’ve honestly been enjoying the game. Story wise, it’s right up there with the Adventure era games for me.
