Well, this looks just fantastic. Getting a lot of original persona vibes off of it. I always thought that JRPGs with tactical battles was an underutilized concept, and I feel like the main reason we haven’t seen it more is because, as the article said, TRPGs tend to be slow and methodical and that would slow the pacing of a JRPG to a crawl, especially if there weren’t a fixed number of battles, but the way demon school seems to be doing it, it seems like once you figure out a battle that you’ll be able to beat any repeats relatively quickly.
It definitely seems interesting. I love the graphics and the tone. Hopefully the battle system is good. It really seems like the battle system could go either way, but I’m slightly leaning toward that it looks like it should be a fun time.
The title of the article is incredibly annoying though. Don’t use abbreviations without establishing what you’re talking about. What is DS? Nintendo DS? Demon Souls? Dark Souls? Driving Simulators? The answer is “Devil Survivor,” which is a great game to get inspiration from but I had no idea until I read half of the article.

This looks AMAZING. I love everything about the look, and the game looks like the perfect blend of Devil Survivor and Persona. Really looking forward to it.
