Honestly I was expecting much worse for the Switch version

  2. Yeah the version is decent. Sure, the foliage is reduced, because alpha transparency which is heavy for memory bandwidth, the textures are lower quality and the transition from rocks to grass is more rough, but in general the cyberspace levels are almost 1:1 to the big boys in terms of detail. For me is solid port.

  3. Is it just me that can barely tell the difference? I wouldn’t have known which version was which if they didn’t label them.😂

I’m pretty surprised how close it is visually but that performance is definitely suffering.

  5. One of the big issues I have with comparisons like this is — how does it look on the screen it is running on. Sure it looks blurry on my 27″ monitor… but does it look like that on the switch’s 7 inch screen?

  6. I honestly don’t care much about the level of detail, texture and resolution differences. The Switch version looks barely downgraded in that sense unless you’re doing a direct comparison.

But the FPS and performance, on a fast and twitch-heavy game like Sonic… I think I’ll go with the Xbox version this time.
