But before anyone says “you guys say that about every Sonic game before release and then it turns out shit”, I thought Forces and Lost World looked like shit the moment they were revealed. The last time I felt a Sonic game looked amazing was Generations over 10 years ago, and that game lived up to expectations.

I want to believe in this, but I’m getting that bad feeling when a brand tries to rebrand itself again but doesn’t work out.
Like in the trailer I was getting some Shadow of the Colossus vibes and I liked that. But there was some generic game play footage that made it feel less than hype. For me.

The last Sonic game I bought was Sonic Adventure. The reason I didn’t buy SA2 was because they removed the open hub zones. Now that they’re making an entirely open world Sonic I feel obligated to buy it.

I really want this to be good. An open-world Sonic game would be fun. I probably won’t get this on launch cause of God of War, but if it gets good reviews then I will definitely pick it up at some point.
