I’m sure everyone’s heard this a million times but each Galarian bird has a .3% catch chance, even with a golden rasberry, excellent ultra ball throw. The flee rate is far too high for how uncommon these pesky birds are

Does anyone know how the spawn dynamic works exactly? Is the best method to encounter one of the birdies to move in a straight line and cover as much distance as possible… or to catch every Pokémon that is attracted by the incense?

Their flee rate is something like 97% no matter what you throw at it. Don’t get your hopes up anytime you see one of the daily incense rare birds unless it sticks around after breaking out of your first throw.

I still have yet to run into one. I run the incense every single day and still have not seen anything of value at all. It’s getting so discouraging. I think I’m ready to delete the daily incense button all together.

I had THREE cracks at the Moltres one. I had just started the game up again after being away for 2 years. I now know how ridiculously lucky and rare that was. It ran.

I mean, even with everything aligned (and that would include both platinum medals and hiting an excellent on the smallest circle possible), you stil have only 30ish% catch chances, so in the end it’s all down to the RNG

I’ve caught the Zapdos and Moltres a few months back, but recently saw Moltres 3 times in the last month and all 3 ran. At this point I’m just gonna try every day and eventually I will catch some more to trade with people who don’t use the incense often.

First bird I encountered was an articuno and only hit it with a curveball throw. It stayed in the ball 🙂

Once encountered a Galarian Moltres, cp was something at 30’s i think(probably level 1 or 2), i had both Dark and Flying type Platinum meaning +4 catch bonus, also gave it a Golden Razz, threw a Ultra ball with Excellent curveball. Still poped out of the ball at first shake and ran away.
