I fired it up. The first few levels are crazy good. Excited to check out the rest

I’m happy my Rad Edition purchase didn’t go to waste; this game is so much fun to just pull out for a few rounds of free time. It’s perfect for the Switch.

Half the charm of OlliOlli was how light and fast-paced it was. That’s lost in OlliOlli World thanks to the irredeemably slow loading times. And not just to load levels, you have to sit through a long loading screen just to see the overworld… then select a level and sit through another long loading screen to play it. You’re paying the toll coming *and* going. It’s bad. Absolutely not a pick-up-and-play title for a quick few rounds. You’d spend half your lunch break staring at a loading bar.

The level backgrounds can be a pretty distracting, but that’s probably more a personal issue for me.

God this art style is so off-putting. I preferred the previous look.
