I was excited for this then a whole bunch of bad stuff was said.
Wonder if it will change.

My biggest issue from playing the demo was how fast time goes by. Especially on the over world map, it goes by even faster. It’s worse when you don’t know where to go and you waste the day. It also makes it sound like you have more time in the day to stay up but it always forced me to bed earlier than what I thought it said.
It’s a shame as I was looking forward to it but the demo basically made me never want to play it in my opinion.

I liked the demo and I’m looking forward to this game. The screen shots here look pretty too. It’s not going to be a legendary title or anything, but it will be fun for what it is I think.

I think people are overreacting based on a demo they didn’t get far enough in and some uninhibited expectations. After playing the demo through I’ll still get the game for a couple of reasons: it feels like decent action JRPG where the systems are intertwined with the farming and it’s supposed to borrow from Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon. They haven’t totally revealed how in the demo, but after playing through Xenoblade 3 about half way it’s not dissimilar to it, maybe a little less tight. Once again: it’s a demo and this is a JRPG where systems frequently don’t get fully integrated until like 20 hours into the game.
Second, if you can get through the initial dump, which granted is a slog, there’s plenty of charm. Spoiler but the 3rd party member you get is a freaking Unicorn that makes jokes about magic farts. If you don’t think it has charm and humor then you didn’t get far enough.
Overall it seems like you should approach this game from a JRPG standpoint and not a farming sim standpoint. That’s where it shines. And it didn’t seem amazing, but it brought back memories for me of stuff like Crystal Chronicles that were solid, weird, cult following kind of games before Square became too corporate.

One issue I have found with farming sims is that farming isn’t actually fun. I feel Stardew did a good job with this, but many other games that have tried to add something to the equation end up as a fighting game with sub-par resource management that just costs time.

I liked the demo. The days were really short though.

I enjoyed the demo and will be purchasing it. I might be in the minority but I actually like how short the days were. Some of the more mainstream titles feel like you can blow through the dungeons and the game in just the first couple seasons and never need to hit like winter or the new year.

I just want to know if there will be romance and marriage 🙁

I felt like the demo only made me less interested in the game. Character animation felt stiff and the story didn’t really grab my attention from what I played.

Farming is not my thing, so this probably isn’t my game. But will wait for reviews and if so then def a sale. Too much goodness coming out.

I played the demo of Harvestella and it wasn’t enjoyable. I like the genre, the graphics are nice, it was incredibly slow without developing the world or story enough to get into what’s going on or being immersive. The lack of voiceover in the demo when cheaper games have it was a bummer.
The farming mechanism was a bit annoying trying to plow and plant and water where it locks you onto a square grid and move slowly but doesn’t make it easy to move around and quickly do tasks.
I don’t understand why there’s teleporting only within the same area or why the overland map is like that and takes up time. Or why the days were so short.
I kept looking for a save point closer in the dungeon but there isn’t one so spent a lot of time waking back even after the ladder short cuts.

Thought the demo was hot trash, and I am definitely the audience for it. Absolute hot garbage.
