Did this game actually release yet because I am still being blocked from playing it.

This is a timed Switch exclusive I am assuming.

  3. >Front Mission 1st: Remake is a remake of the first Front Mission, Front Mission 1st. Technically, Front Mission 1st isn’t the first Front Mission; it’s a 2003 PS1 port of the 1995 Super Famicom game, Front Mission. So Front Mission 1st is technically a remake of a remake, but both said remakes are really remasters. Front Mission 1st: Remake is a remaster of a remaster, but unlike the first remaster, this remaster remakes the remaster’s graphics.

It is to early for me to read this. But i’ll sit eagerly waiting the release time today.

Wait is this game not getting a physical release in the US? All I can find online is a European version from a website that seems to release limited editions.

I’m loving it, but man is the dialogue hilariously bad.

If you like Front Mission but would rather play an action game instead of tjrpg then check out Front Mission Gun Hazard.

Put in about two hours just now. Same as the previous release but much prettier looking. Considering it was already a solid title that’s aged mostly well I’m happy. Still very much looking forward to the Front Mission 3 remake as that game is one of my absolute favorites of all time.

The game will go on sale in a month for like 2.99 lol like ALL forever entertainment games. Was excited until I saw Forever attached to it. Now, not so much.

Can’t wait to play it. I’ll wait though, see if there’s a physical box available anywhere.

If not, I’m pretty sure it will be on sale next year.

Its wild to me how much worse a lot of the games 3D remastered visuals look in comparison to the SNES original. The modern maps are more grid like and the more realistic environments give it a more awkward look. The originals robot animations and combat scenes are so much more lively and full of personality, while the modern ones are much more static. In the original, the robots move around and have really nice attack and hit animations; they shoot from their own screen and move as they fire. In the new one, they just stand still awkwardly in front of each other on a really poorly sparse 3d space before coming alive to use their attack animation and then returning to their awkward, standing and waiting animation.

Comparatively, the new Tactics Ogre remake does it so much better by preserving the charm and style of the game while improving the gameplay, menus, etc without compromising on the original art style.
