Game of the Year in my heart, but either way it’s nice to see Kirby win the one award it was actually nominated for
I have gave Kirby my support in every adventures of his life at GameAwards
So happy that Kirbo & The Forgor 💀 Land won Family Game of the Year! A very well-earned award for a fantastic game!
It very much so deserved an award. It was very kid oriented, but just the big step they took in going 3D, doing it rather well, and it still feeling like a Kirby game needs an accolade of some kind.
Well deserved! Such a fantastic game.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land was flat out great. Glad it won.
Should’ve joined Xenoblade 3 for Game of the Year, but at least it won this
**LETS FUCKING GOOO!!!!!!!!!**
so much better than that pokemon release
They clearly didn’t play the after game content, that’s not family friendly at all lol
Is this category really needed? I can’t imagine the Oscars having a Best Family Movie award.
I know clever writing and all but who the fuck inhales an award?! Isn’t that too much of a reach? Surely there’d be a better way to phrase winning an award in relation to Kirby.
WHERE IS HE??
WHERE IS KIRBYHATER, I KNOW HES HERE
Yay!
Couldn’t stop grinning while playing this game and I’m a grown boy
I can agree with this. My toddler likes watching me play. I use some of the figures to practice words with him (he’s a big fan of the car).
It was okay but the two player element was really lacking, the second player being large less useless and trailing around doing not very much
I’m so glad it won something, I love this game definitely deserves more!
I will sound very bitter, but it’s very karmic for me seeing Kirby leaving with more awards than Xenoblade, specially after Kirby got the bare minimum amount of nominations it could’ve gotten because of Nintendo sidelining it in favor of the more “serious” game, XC3.
This was a perfect game
Unironically tied for GOTY with Elden Ring for my personal picks. There are very few games that I would want to 100% and Forgotten Lands was satisfying to do so the whole way through.
Yay!
Have to admit as a guy who never played a Kirby game i downloaded the demo… and i was kinda “meh”. After playing Odyssey or Bowser’s Fury i am VERY spoiled and this didn’t feel special/fun enough.
However i DID end up swayed by the glowing reception – and ended up liking it a lot!
An opposite experience for me to Yoshi’s Crafted World – i liked its opening level so much that i downloaded the whole thing (despite the game not having nearly as great reviews) and i was kinda disappointed (not bad, not great).
Kirby got better for me as i went on playing. A very fun game and i love that it has a Hardmode too (meanwhile Pokémon…)
I think the next goalpost is clearly Super Kirby’s Odyssey/Kirby: Bowser’s Fury 🙂
Game is fun. I hate what they did with the co-op though. Kirby superstar perfected it back on the snes, just copy that.
Poyo!
This is the first game I was able to hand a controller to my little girl and play a game alongside her. She absolutely ate it up and we play it all the time.
I mostly play Kirby, but Bandana Waddle Dee is perfect for her.
Well deserved!
