Because they play it to get better or just for fun and not for the rewards?

The only bad thing is that I have 50 pokemon for great league and 2 for ultra league so I can’t really play this week

This my first season tanking, I admit it’s better for rewards and takes less time, but I miss the challenge of trying to go up in ranks.
As a pretty good player (finished last season at 2763 ELO), I get bored battling in the lower ranks where I win 99% of the battles I actually do without having to try. I’m gonna use this season to get my stardust up, but I doubt I’ll be tanking next season

So uhhh, how do you tank?

Ii finally have candies for my legendary hundos. I could barely find the strength to pvp before I started tanking. Now I’ve maxed every day in pvp fights this season.

How do you do this? Just put in the lowest CP min you have?

Whatβs your current ELO? I struggle to figure out where i want to sit

itβs fun to actually feel rewarded when you win, knowing itβs from skill and not abusing a broken system. I only tank when itβs only ML as I donβt want to invest hundreds into the game
gomezz32
how do you get the rare XL candies?? wow i need those
masterattackman
I do it for funβ¦

It has been pretty fun I made a team for each and actually play it much more this season than in the past few
East_Cartographer_57
OK? And after all that effort and time spent, what are you using these on?
Hypn0ticMystiqu3
I tried tanking for the first time at the beginning of this season. I was going on crazy win streaks and getting tons of rare candy and stardust, but at some point it just didnβt feel right. Felt like taking candy from a baby. Winning battles against try-hards is MUCH more satisfying in my opinion.

How does one tank? Asking for a friend?

Because people actually enjoy it?

Tanking also seems to help the other players who win without the actual battle. They get their rewards faster as well.

i mean, pokemon for me is about competing and getting better. Every game, even the anime taught us about that.
It’s great that u guys are tanking and have an efficient way of farming.
but its nice to compete in higher rank against competent battlers as well, while also getting these rewards.

I think of tanking as the 5th grade bully who picks on the kindergarteners because they’re too afraid to take on their own peers.

Pardon my ignorance as I don’t pvp much unless it’s necessary for research. How do you get rewards (rare candies) when you tank? I understand stardust as it is given when you rank up or completing sets. TIA for answering

Because i don’t like to hand out wins to people, inlike to make ’em work for it π€·ββοΈ
