I remember my first time playing this game on my PS1, it was great. Then I figure out you could break the game as soon as you got Minwu. Good times, good times.

The absolute worst final fantasy game.

Final Fantasy seemed to follow that weird trend where a sequel tries to alter the formula and it makes it into the black sheep of the franchise.
Sure (the American) Super Mario Bros 2 had a reason to do it (considering “The Lost Levels” was way too brutal plus similar to SMB1), but games like Zelda II (which I admit is pretty good after getting a very useful skill) and Castlevania II stick out like a sore thumb. Even Fire Emblem Gaiden (which later became Echoes for the 3DS) had veins of this too.

Yeah, I played and beat it. And I’ll never play it again.

Nasir Gebelli keeping it real. Thanks for the contributions.

Its better than FF3 at least and I will die on that hill.

I actually liked the leveling system where it would only raise stats that were repeatedly used (like HP only going up if you take a lot of damage).
The background music for Pandemonium was really cool too.
