Here’s the name trick, you can only use it once:
– Mike Tyson for Hitmonchan
– Bruce Lee for Hitmonlee
– Beyblade for Hitmontop
Jk, it’s random and nothing you can do to influence it but definitely learn second move before evolution for a discount.

Whatever it evolves into will be useless unless you XL it and it’ll still be mid, Tyrogue and the Hitmons are all throwaway pokemon unfortunately
