Hall Sensing Joysticks Have Been Released for Joy-Cons

https://imgur.com/a/A5dFbxf

I found them on Amazon not being sold by Gulikit (which posted about making them back in June but there hasn’t been an update since from them). I also opened them up and found that they are a different design inside. After installing them all it took was recalibrating them and they were working with no drift.

Nice. I’m interested to hear others reviews. $50 for two sets isn’t too outrageous.

  2. omglemurs

Do you know if they have pro controller replacements? I would love to be able to stop fixing my pro controllers….

  3. fortuitousfox

RemindMe! 6 months “did this fix joycon drift?”

  4. SomeMetroid

Pretty cool if these are legit! Might have to think about replacing with them when my current sticks start drifting.

I see them on the UK amazon as well. 2 pack for £30. I don’t currently have drift, but I wonder if I should pick up a pack now. Well, if these are actually legit I’ll consider it.

Still dubious these aren’t the ‘elves’ reboxed and sold by someone else. Will wait until they pop up on Gulikit’s store.

Nice. These are going to sell out quick.

  8. Scardigne

If only valve index controllers could benefit now

  9. No PCB shot?
Would be nice to see how it’s different from the original.

Would these also work with the Pro controller or only joycons?

Seems a bit too late in the generation to bother, though I’ll be all about it on Nintendo’s successor system… sure would be nice if first party controllers would just start using these kind of analog sticks by default considering how friggin’ expensive the controllers are anyways.

The only thing about that listing is this: [https://www.gulikit.com/newsinfo/690393.html](https://www.gulikit.com/newsinfo/690393.html)

    >2.Until now, no any third-party company is authorized by us to sell GuliKit electromagnetic joysticks. Be cautious of being fooled and avoid unnecessary legal disputes.

So… Are they really hall effect or someone just trying to pass them off as hall effect? Did you take pics and can you show us what they look like inside?

I’ve honestly been wondering why an alternate design for the inside of the joy cons haven’t been made sooner. Will look into this for sure.

How easy is it to install these, wouldn’t mind swapping my sticks out, I have a couple pair of joy cons so if any thing goes wrong then it’s ok

  15. Yoshifan1219

Does it feel any different from the regular sticks?

  16. Analog_Astronaut

Still have my launch Switch. Thousands of hours on it. Zero drift.

  17. rokelle2012

I need to look into doing this for my joy-cons. Three pairs and they all drift. Do you know if these work on a Switch lite as well? I’ll do that complete teardown to swap the joysticks if it means I never have drift again. Only problem is I have the Pokémon Sword and Shield lite.

Do you have to recalibrate it every use like the anbernics?

  19. paracelus

They definitely look different in the dissected pics, thanks for those!

To be doubly sure, I’ve messaged Gulikit on twitter and asked them if they are legit, will post back if I get a reply.

In the mean time, I’ve ordered some with fingers crossed 😀

  20. GeraldAnonymous

Would these be compatible with Switch Lite consoles?

  21. xamindar

At $52 that is way overpriced for what they are. That company is making a killing.

  22. I would KILL for something like this for ProCon.

  23. IraDalor

I saw the listing and figured they are likely real, but decided not to chance it because they are $20 a pop and wait until gulikit decides to start selling them themselves so I can know for sure what I’m getting. I’ll definitely be sure placing the joy sticks in all my joycons with these as soon as they are officially out though. Never having to open them again sounds so ideal

  24. CandyRedNinja

I’m in for a set. It’s getting harder to play MC with the drift my sons remotes have.

  25. Here’s to hoping this company does a Pro Controller version at some point.

  26. mrhollowfinger

I just got the kingkong 2 pro from the same company. Been using it for a couple days now and I love it!

  27. Buzzzzes

Ordered. Hope these are legit, going to swap my joycon case while I’m at it to the clear emerald green, just like my old N64 controller

  28. omeara4pheonix

So ready for this, I just installed a set in my steam deck and the accuracy is incredible. I have no idea why Nintendo didn’t go with hall effect to begin with.

  29. RapflApfl

Gullikit now has them up on their website, so it seems that these ones are legit !

  30. paracelus

Mine just arrived, installing tonight. Will get shots of them.
