Just wanted to point out that you linked the video so it starts at 29 seconds in lol.

Those look really cool. Have they given a price? I’ve not heard of the company so I’ll await reviews, but if it’s as good as it looks, I’m tempted!

They are listed for $69. It doesn’t say anything about about rumble or gyro. I know this companies other joycon replacements incorporate them. But for me this purchase was so that I can play Smash handheld, so gyro wasn’t a big seller for this purchase.

  4. I’ve been eyeing their Hyperion Joy Cons for awhile, but now that they’re using hall effect sticks, I’ll just wait until they announce a new one with the regular layout and those sticks.

It only took 6 years for this to finally happen…

  6. Do the controllers charge through the console when in handheld mode? I think a big problem with a lot of third party joycons were that you had to charge the joycons separately.

  7. I’m a fan of more and more controllers getting Hall effect sticks.

idk knock off gamecube controllers never quite feel right. Hope this one’s good tho

I can’t figure out if these have “HD Rumble” or just adjustable generic rumble. Recently got a 3rd party controller with regular rumble and it sucks after getting used to the HD rumble on first party controllers

Looks great but is the logo an owl or a dog with a big nose

  11. Oh boy. I think I might have to, at the bare minimum, keep these on my radar and await for reviews from Spawnwave and other YouTubers whom I follow. While I’m actually in the small camp of people who are okay with the feel (but not the drift issues) of the Joy-Cons in handheld mode and/or in their default grip, I can see myself getting & using these if they’re actually good.

Looks kinda sick. But I do love my Pro controller sooo….

Keep in mind y’all, as great as GameCube controllers are, the button layout is pretty terrible for most non GameCube games.

These look really cool but we’ll have to wait till they come out to see if they actually perform well

Some madlad finally did it! Wonder when we’ll start seeing reviews

  16. I’ll be waiting for the Wulff den video lol

Where in the actual hell has Nintendo been on this untapped opportunity to cash in on retro style joycons? It was the first thing that popped in my head watching the Switch reveal trailer; $$$ modular accessories time $$

Guess the writings on the wall at this point

  18. Why did it take 5 years!!!

Remember all the crazy concepts in the NX days? Like the fishing joycon with a reel?!

Finally a GCN controller for the Switch. This is awesome.

Honestly I’m kind of baffled Nintendo doesn’t have any sort of official Joycons in any shape other than “Joycon.” Like, I can understand not doing Joycon versions of absolutely all of their past controllers, but even just “Pro Joycons” with a Pro Controller-style built-in grip similar to this Gamecube-style controller could go a long way.

Sure, you wouldn’t be able to play anything “single Joycon”-style with controllers like that, but it’s not like other official controllers don’t already have that negative.

This looks like my kind of joycons. I have an 8bitdo ultimate and really like it. The regular joycons are simply too thin for my big ol monkey paws

Kids today will never understand how bad it was having a off brand controller back in the day because all these new ones look and work amazingly… I’m jealous…
