Was very obvious. Sweet was more popular by a landslide since everyone likes sweet stuff, but some people are picky and don’t like spicy/sour things.

Unsurprised that Sweet won, but honestly it coulda been anyone I think. They only won one battle category.

Is it me or has splatfest gotten stale pretty quick?

Well, sweet already had like 5% more people at the beginning, and the game even showed that before I had picked a team. So, pretty obvious which one to pick if you wanted to win.

I picked spicy anyway because I’m not a wimp.

Splatfests aren’t fun anymore. All you need to win is to pick the most popular team.

As someone on the winning team- I didn’t have much fun.
So many of my matches were mirror matches, especially on tricolor.
I think changing the splat fests into three teams is turning out to be a bad call. It’s not helping much with one team being more popular than the others, and tricolor is a fun idea that’s turning out to be more trouble than it’s worth.

My husband and I couldn’t agree on a team so we didn’t play. He wanted sour, I wanted sweet. Now I’m pissed I should have just chose my team 😭!

I bought this game on Friday. I barely had time to get my new character ready when the screen started screaming at me about the current festival. This is my first time playing a Splatoon game, so I had no clue what to expect.

When it came time to “register” for a team, Sweet had the most people in it. I decided to go with sour just because I figured more people in the group needed other players to group up with.

I only did a handful of matches over the weekend, but it was fun. I was completely destroyed by some of these weapons. Playing on a 7″ screen will take time getting used to.

One thing I didn’t feel was a lack of balance in the game. Despite being in the smaller group, we ended up winning most of the challenges I played (lost 2, won 9).

I was usually the lowest score, but it makes sense since I really have no clue what I’m doing other than covering everything I see with paint.

Before signing off for the weekend, I did buy a new weapon (now that I can). It’s a bow that shoots paint in 3 direction. Really cool, but slow. We’ll see how it works tonight.
