One of the best purchases I’ve made in recent Memory. Comes with dozens of retro arcade games, but imo it does something even cooler. It compiles Atari video game history (interviews, flyers, etc) into am interactive museum that you can browse through. I spent an hour the other night just watching the videos and skimming through all the old documents. It’s a beautiful work of game preservation and is truly a wholesome experience beyond just the games aspect. I can’t recommend it enough.
PS. I fucking love Tempest 2000 too lol

I feel like XC3 is one of my favorite games of…ever. So, yeah.. reasonably happy with this list. I’m currently enjoying Persona 5 Royal (for the first time), and am very impressed with it, too.. Its ability to semi-accurately depict mundane daily life is actually pretty cool and fun, but I feel like XC3’s constant rollercoaster of new areas, plot development, and experiences was more exciting to behold.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak reviews were brutal and unfoundedly harsh. It improves on the base game in every single way and imo deserves an 89-90% rating.
94% is too low for Persona 5 Royal 😉

As happy as I am to see neon white so high on the list, I kind of feel like it doesn’t deserve it. Yes, the gameplay, aesthetic, and soundtrack are beyond god-tier but the story and writing is pretty non-negotiably terrible (see example: the moral lesson pushed by the true ending) and it really did detract from my experience bc it could have been SO good with a decent story but for me I was so ready to be done with the story i rushed through the last mission

Would love to play neon white but I heard the game reverses the gyro when playing with y axis reversed. That makes it unplayable to me.

surprised Metroid Dread didn’t score higher. currently playing it right now and it’s one of the best games i’ve played in years. such great nostalgia from super metroid and the fact it’s a sequel to a game i played when i was 12 is amazing. i always wanted to see the super metroid story continue.

Splatoon and Legends Arceus scores seem lower than I thought. Since they’re better than trashonetta 3. I will always find a way to hate on that game. Since it’s the only game I’ve finished & never found anything I enjoyed
