I am still on step 6/8 of the A Mythical Discovery special research bc I refused to evolve a magikarp until I found a shiny, but then I found a shiny gyarados in the wild?! Only two stars but I’ll take it 🤩

Yes! We’ve noticed several around here (S. Florida) the past few days. I caught one earlier today – though it was not “shiny”. I was on tenterhooks throwing the pokeball to catch it lol.

Yep! I found a Gyarados in the Wild in my local area a few times back in the past, and I was successful on catching them (sadly, no shiny).

The other day I just opened the game to a shiny Aerodactyl chillin on my house. 0 stars and like 35 cp but I’m still amazed it was just there randomly

Evolved Pokémon cannot spawn shiny but there’s an exception if they have a mega form I believe

I had finally evolved my best buddy 94(i think) percent magikarp to gyarados after over a year of pinabing every magikarp and walking for miles and miles, and then the next day i found a gyarados just chillin at my closest pokestop
