Nintendo Switch

New Operating System (nOS) is a weird productivity app coming to the Switch.

RedDeer Games has developed a new productivity app (not a game) for the Nintendo Switch, which includes a daily planner, calculator and the ability to write text and draw pictures. Coming out at the end of January 2023.

To me, this seems like an app that would be useful for those without a smart phone or someone who just wants to use their switch for something other than gaming. Anyone think they would find something like this useful and use it on a daily/weekly basis?

More information can be found at the developer’s website, direct link below: [https://www.reddeergames.com/introducing-nos-nintendo-operating-system-enhances-switch-console-with-all-new-personalization-features/](https://www.reddeergames.com/introducing-nos-nintendo-operating-system-enhances-switch-console-with-all-new-personalization-features/)

Sounds kind of pointless. I’d probably get fired for bringing my switch into work even as a “productivity tool”

I look forward to seeing monthly releases of it alongside AAA Clock

I think its a scam game trying to trick people into buying it thinking its a new operating system for the Switch.

Lol RedDeer is one of the biggest scam companies on the platform. They make incredibly bullshitty things like incredibly cheap games and their most famous ‘AAA Clock’ which is literally just a clock and alarm with skins and they sell it for 10 bucks ‘discounted’.

They re-release their old apps DOZENS of times under different ‘versions’ to continuously stay on the ‘recently released’ page.

For a laugh just go to the Switch store and search ‘reddeer games’ to see how many there are. The most creative thing they’ve ever done is think up of new edition names for the same product.

Isn’t this the same company who sold that Switch alarm clock?

It’s quite odd. I think it’s intentionally vague in order to get people talking about it, but it’s so out there that there’s still nothing to say. It’s like Hypnospace outlaw without the game.

I believe it’s useless. If you have a switch, you likely have a smart phone, tablet, or a PC/laptop that does these things better and has far more usage than a switch.

  8. I think my nephews will love it since they don’t have phones.

If this is possible, what’s preventing indie developers from giving us jailbreak-free Android/Linux, or even just a web browser without so many limitations?

Is because Nintendo has to approve indie games, and wouldn’t approve a real OS?

WHo on earth would own a switch but not some form of smartphone?

This app should have no publicity. It’s a waste of money

I bought this about 3 days ago for around £1.50. it’s originally £35.99 which is ridiculously expensive for what it is.

    It’s a cute little accessory but has very little use. The things it can do is;
    1) Calculator
    2) Gallery
    3) Notebook
    4) To-Do List
    5) Paint
    6) Sliding Puzzle
    7) Settings

There are some images that are locked so maybe there is some sort of secret game?
