Wargroove is on sale on the US eShop for $7.99 (lowest price ever)

According to DekuDeals, Wargroove hasn’t been on sale for a whole year. A turn-based fantasy strategy game that’s clearly a love letter to GBA Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, this one definitely seems worth picking up while we’re all waiting for Advance Wars 1+2.

Finally! Got it on steam for 4$. Wasn’t worth it on switch full price even though I think the switch is better suited for it.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Finally Advance Wars is out- no wait, false alarm

At the end of last year i got sick of waiting for advance wars and finally went in on this. Is basically a clone of AW, but does just enough to make it a worthwhile experience imo.

There’s some pretty amazing fan content out there due to the flexible engine.

This is a great deal! A lot of longevity and plays exactly as Advanced Wars

Curious that they released a game called Wargroove when wars have happened in real life. Surely they should have delayed this game indefinitely /s

The story and dialogue is pretty terrible but the gameplay is top-notch. I greatly enjoyed playing it all the way through, it was quite a challenge but worth it.

I loved this game, up until I didn’t anymore. There is no room for error. If you mess up a turn you will lose. To me that’s a puzzle and not a game. When I can play against another person the game shines, but that takes too much work to set up and hunt down. I just wish the single player experience wasn’t so linear.

Idk nothing about the game, I think it’s not that popular. it’s good enough?

This is an ace game imo. One of my most played games on steam. That said, i play coop with friends on it a lot. Well worth the dolla

I never finished it (im notoriously bad about finishing games like this) but Wargroove was fun when I picked it up at launch. Last thing I remember doing in it was downloading a custom campaign that was just a recreation of the Steamed Hams scene from the Simpsons.

I forgot how nintendo virtue signaled Advance Wars away and now i guess they’ll just wait 2 or 3 years until the war is over to release it? What a weird fate for that game

Never played advanced wars or any game like that.

Always wanted to try fire emblem but I’ve never got round to it.

    Is this any good??
