    It’s a full moon in real life but won’t let me evolve.

    Well I Uninstalled then reinstalled and now when I go to sign back in it won’t let me select my Google account… wooooooo now I can’t play at all. Good luck everyone else.

    6th of February at 8 am CST with no option to evolve still. Does anyone know if anyone anywhere had the option?

    It may have something to do with the moon being a snow moon last night(UK) I was trying to evolve on my breaks at work and nothing, guess it’s waiting until the next full moon.

    I find it hilarious something like this happens.
    It’s extremely predictable. Just add a calendar that enables evolution the 24hrs around the peak of the full-moon.

    There was one last night for me! It was a full moon irl and in the game. (It showed it in the background when catching Pokémon.)

    Pokémon GO was the wrong game to make “lore accurate” evolutions and whatnot given localized time. Should’ve been a fleshed out, really good, open world one.

    For me the full moon was 5th February, 7:30 pm (Europe, UTC+1).
    Tried to envolve ursaring starting Friday up to today (Monday).

    The whole time its not working. I also find no information HOW exactly this stupid (bugged) mechanic works.
    – Real fullmoon or ingame random stuff?
    – when its real fullmoon: its locale time or a daytime from the other side of the world?
    – How much time we have to envolve? When does the time span begin and when does it ends???

    And yes, I did restart the game more than 20 times. So for me the only possible answer is: it is bugged.

    So with luck we have to wait 4 weeks and maybe then its possbile for players (at least in new zealand (haha)) to envolve Ursaring.

    I tried evolving the moment it turned February 5th. Tried again nighttime on the 6th. Still can’t evolve. I can see the option but it’s faded out and I’m shown a message that it’s not the right time.

Also:

    “…While a full moon isn’t always active in Pokemon Go, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, can create a full moon in the game at any time. For instance, during the November 2022 Community Day event, which featured Teddiursa, the game had a full moon, and players were able to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna for a limited time…”

    So the Full Moon is “whenever Niantic wants”.

    Try it again! It wouldn’t let me evolve it the other night, but the game seems to think it’s a full moon right now. I’m in Central US if that helps you figure out the time.
