They saw the whack ass flying machines that people made in the first game and were like “huh”

One of the runes is about powering tech. Maybe electricity. Cart, and that flying thing.

Love the dark ominous vibe. Please let this be another Majora’s Mask style Zelda 🥵
I need to go back and finish BOTW. I literally got to right before the last boss room and stopped.
KazumaHime
Matthew Mercer as Ganondorf, let’s go! That’s gotta be a dream come true for him.
StandupGaming
Goddamnit Zelda’s going to spend the whole game trapped in a ditch somewhere isn’t she?
bobbyioaloha
I love how the biggest news from this direct was that Zelda is not delayed
rebelweezeralliance
I was honestly underwhelmed by comparison to the hype and rollout of BOTW. Makes me feel like Nintendo isn’t as excited about this one.
garliclord
I’m excited for this game but not gonna lie, I’m disappointed it looks like enemy variety is only slightly better than BotW. Hope it’s not 90% bokoblins, moblins and lizalfos again after 6 years of development
celine_dijon
I wonder if the floating islands are going to be dungeons.

i can’t believe link gets a drivers license

Cool and all but I’m tired of having Zelda as the “one last thing” trailer instead of an actual announcement
DontDrinkTooMuch
Oh fuck, the Twili are returning!
ManyAdventuresOfLye
I love the new features they showed. They haven’t really showed any new features before this so I’m happy to see real changes from the first one, we got
1. Car building
Wizardrylullaby
The thing that bothers me the most is that apparently the enemy variety problem is still there. With the same 5 enemies as before plus a winged type
Bearowolf
Crazy that this game comes out in three months and we still haven’t seen any in-depth footage about it. We’re still getting these trailers with quick flashes of mechanics for us to speculate on with little explanation. I thought for sure a solid 10 minutes of this direct were going to be about TOTK.
SolidA34
I must say another trailer that does nothing for me. I had some many things I did not like in the original. I see nothing in the trailer that address my concerns. I feel I will have to wait for the reviews.
LarsAndTheAuton
Really hoping this game has a good amount of exploration and puzzling, my two favorite things about Zelda titles. I liked the BotW combat more than the fights in other Zelda games, but combat is never really a highlight of the series for me.
FauxPhox
Crossing my fingers on this games’ dungeons outclassing BotW – and possibly a big overhaul or at least improvement on the weapon durability situation.
I loved exploring every nook and cranny. Shrines helped fill the gaps in the map. However the beasts as dungeons led to unsatisfying completions. I’d be in and out in 10 minutes. The bosses in them also didn’t have enough variety.

I’m not liking the voice of whoever is talking. I think it’s Matt Mercer and while I think he is a fine voice actor, never liked him for villians.

Honestly, this trailer is not that good. Just watched back the original BOTW trailer and that one did a much better job explaining the story and showing the mechanics. This will probably still be an epic game but it deserves a better trailer.

Link is now Forklift Certified!

You could tell BOTW was going to be amazing basically from the earliest rumours of the game. This so far seems more like a dlc or a remix of the first game rather than a proper new Zelda that’s been in development for 6 years. They haven’t shown anything really exciting beyond just the fact that it is the sequel to such a great game.
frailtypomander
am i alone in being completely whelmed by this? so many of the comments in this video are saying they actually cried, meanwhile it STILL just looks BotW but slight tweaks. we still are yet to see anybody actually playing the game.
eatdogs49
I got reminded of Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts lol
Cmdrdredd
I just hope that one scene in the cave is a true dungeon.

I gotta say, there have been multiple trailers and I still feel sort of underwhelmed with what I’m seeing. Still gonna be a day 1 buy of course because Zelda is that big of a deal to me and has earned my trust but it keeps looking more like a really elaborate DLC than true sequel. I was kinda waiting for now to be the big blowout and it’s still a very conservative trailer.
Every Zelda game has a distinct gimmick, right? Ocarina has time travel, Majora has the three day cycle, Wind Waker has the ocean, Minish Cap had shrinking etc. Breath of the Wild had open-world exploration. Because of that I find it extremely odd that Tears of the Kingdom is the same exact Hyrule map which makes that exploration element, Breath of the Wild’s undeniably greatest asset, immediately way less interesting. I’m sure there will be differences to find across the map, of course, but I don’t know if that’s enough to justify a full sequel.
I’m missing what is Tears of the Kingdom’s big “thing” you know? Seems like the sky exploration is sort of a thing, but is that enough? I’m not sure it is to be honest. I feel like their best bet for a BOTW2 would have been to bring Link into a new open world, like Termina was for Majoras Mask. But I’m still holding out hope that Tears of the Kingdom’s big “thing” is still being kept secret. Odd choice if that’s true though, since there’s probably plenty of the people a bit on the fence about all of it who won’t just buy right away like me but I digress. I just felt like this was their big opportunity to really show what makes this Zelda unique and I don’t know that they achieved that yet.
ConfusionFun7651
I was hoping that they were teasing that the moon would play a larger role I’m this game
Dragmire927
I’m getting Mario Galaxy 2 vibes from this game so far, which is generally good but has some negatives as well
dingle9
The Spanish and French versions got the best Ganondorf VA IMO. The others are all kind of soft, but those 2 sound like they straight gargled glass before coming into the booth. That’s how I always wanted him to sound.
Edit: On revisit, French is best hands down holy shit
I’m kinda shocked they are still holding their cards close to their chest. Still just teaser trailers, a few months from release?
Also, I really hope there is an option to turn voice acting off. Ruined this teaser for me, hearing such a bad voice for Ganondorf.
dooro64
It’s weird. I still feel like the first mummy Ganondorf reveal trailer has been the best so far. All the others have been this weird montage of random footage with terrible pacing, almost as if put together by an intern last minute. I do believe the devs will make a great game, but the marketing has been incredibly underwhelming, especially so close to the release date.

>$70
That’s bold considering Nintendo doesn’t do sales too often. Not happy with the price increase

The sky is cool but please let there also be underwater swimming. It seemed like a pretty stark omission from the first game. Let me fully explore land, sea and sky

I just wish they would’ve shown more
Where is the classic theme music?!
From this trailer it just looks like BOTW 1.5
