Works with buy one, cancel one as well. Final price was 25% off $70 for one copy.

Edit: if it says sold out, try again in a few hours. A lot of people are doing the buy 2, cancel 1 to get a discount on one copy. The canceled items will take a while to go back into inventory and then they will be available again. Happens all the time on [r/boardgamedeals](https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgamedeals) when the Buy 2, get 1 deal is live.

  2. Cool although the discount wont apply to Zelda as long as you are buying another Switch game. Also Targets out of preorders.

  3. Dang it had it in my cart and both Metroid and Zelda sold out. Man!

  4. Riomegon

    Cancelled my gamestop $60

Rather go with this and Pikmin 4 for lil north of $100

  5. Drag0nBinder

Using vouchers for Pikmin and Zelda will also give $130 games at $100 and lesser if you have gold coins.

i can’t even afford one. now i have to buy half of another?

  7. DalliLlama

Damn, put an alert on but feel like this is probably a mistake as most switch games on this list.

Hoping when I get notified at 1am that it’s still ongoing.

  8. Nid0k1ng

The game doesn’t even show up for me when I search for it now

  9. Heads up, Target.com always ships late with preorders. You will likely not get the game on release date and probably after the weekend.

  10. BrainSweetiesss

Ah yes.. pre ordering a game we haven’t really seen any gameplay of 😂 Jesus

  11. RabbitFanboy

Doesn’t look like the games are a part of the promotion anymore. Metroid is back in stock but I’m not able to get the deal.

  12. BBgotReddit

How the hell does one sell out of pre-orders, is this not the entire point? 😅

  13. large_oil_tanker

Does anyone know if Walmart still does a discount on physical copies the day a game releases (available in store only)?

  14. Keeper_of_Fenrir

Where are you seeing a discount from target? I’m not seeing any promos for switch games.

  15. Even when the preorder shows as available I don’t see any discount under TOTK or Pikmin 4. Is there a code you have to put in or did they just remove them from the deal?

  16. LordTekno

Back in stock, but it looks like they took the promo off of it. Looks like they took a bunch of switch games off the promo.

  17. eastcoastkody

maybe the deal was there before. But they have the game and there no deal for it now

  18. wintermute93

Preorder back in stock but TOTK is no longer part of the B1G1 promotion.

  19. Beithir3386

This does not appear to be working anymore.

If you don’t mind getting digital, there’s always someplace that has a $100 eshop card for $90-$80 (costco has 4-packs of $25 cards in most stores for $79.99, you can get the $50 cards for $44.99 online[YMMV on this, someone in a slickdeals thread said they were able to get this, but I went by my costco after work and it was $89.99]). You can get the vouchers and it will be $45 or $40 a pop depending on the deal you were able to score.

It sucks that you have to jump through these hoops, but it’s typically worth the trouble, especially with how rarely nintendo games go on sale.

  21. Shaman7102

Be careful. Target has screwed me over with B1G1 50 off before. They sent me one game and said the new release was not included in the sale.

  22. AHarmlessFly

Nintendo isn’t really charging $70.00 for their games now are they?

  23. Analog_Astronaut

Let’s stick to the already established formatting when conveying buy one get one free as the standard “BOGO”. I though B1G1 was a Star Wars droid.

  24. Ziggs12358

Target employee here, deal is gone now and was most likely added on TOtK as a mistake, aside from a few rare instances (like VERY rarely) are BOGO deals applicable for new games/preorders, so the deal probably wont come back

protip. costco has $50 eshop gift cards for $45. buy two, get game vouchers, pay $90 for Tears of the Kingdom and Kirby Return to Dreamland

  26. hansolo98789

Nice, I’ll just move to America so I can preorder it.

  27. downonthesecond

Using Target’s B2G1 free was how I was able to get Link Between Worlds a little cheaper.
