well, it’s a nice change from the mass layoff headlines that have been making the rounds lately

Well its not really a “raise” when its to combat inflation, however the yen as it is doesnt need to be less valued- you get 131 yen for 1 dollar etc. I mean, I was suprised as a kid how my mom always got an increased salary every year until I realized her work had a deal that it needed to always go over “inflation rate” in the country so is it really a raise? ” not really.

As a ps5 and switch owner- I will say though that I appreciate Nintendo doing this than doing what Sony did – just adding 10-15% on prices. for ex luckily I got my ps5 for 6000 kr here in Sweden, but now its like 7000 because sony raised the prices to combat it. In other words, sony want us to pay their inflation spike (nice huh? we get to pay the extra 10-15% while Sony just take it)

Forspoken at launch was 850 kr, like 90 dollars here, no way am I paying taht.

“oh but its because of inflation” I bought ghost of tsushima and elden ring for 800 kr together here for my ps5. So yeah, I rather buy games on sale or discount. not gonna pay for their “inflation spikes”.

Reminder to everyone that Nintendo has no point in doing this, and this is anti-investor (in investors opinions). Nintendo never forgot about the people.

Interesting timing, given that the eShop had the new Zelda listed for $70. Easier to give out a 10% pay rise when the games will start getting a 17% price hike.

and then the leak of new zelda game being 70$ happen.

Hmm.. I guess if the devs are getting paid good instead of getting fired.. I’ll accept the 70$ pricr tag

As stingy as nintendo may be, they are probably the cleanest company office wise
