    What is with the shadow drops today?! Super awesome!

  2. AverageAdam311

    Holy fuck.

    It looks so beautiful.

    Sad it isn’t the trilogy.

    But goddam it looks hot

  3. TrapperJean

    A lot people about to be upset that Nintendo appears to be going full price for each Prime remastered instead of a bundle

  4. Shas_Erra

    Please tell me Echoes and Corruption are on the way too…..

  5. YellowPikachu

    Looks great and I assume the others will follow. Ideally it will be $30 digital and $40 physical, but…

  6. tim_uwang

    Super excited, but I’m really curious if we will get 2+3 in the future. I never got to play those.

  7. ITAstallion13

    Jeff Grubbs wonderful head of hair died for this.

  8. SubterraneanSmoothie

    Why not the trilogy though? In any case I’m down!

  9. Man, I remember when leakers insisted we were getting the trilogy like 4 years ago.

    God I hope this reasonably priced.

  10. PIKACHU_84_FLASH

    Does anyone know if you can use dual joycons to aim like the Wiimote in the trilogy?

  11. Drakey87

    As someone who grew up during the GameCube and Advance era, this Direct was a dream come true.
    Metroid
    GBA Games
    Baten Kaitos
    Holy shit…

  12. For those of you who haven’t played Prime before: take the time to just listen to the music. It’s one of the best soundtracks in video game history.

  13. Pakmanjosh

    Metroid Prime for Switch but only the first one? Which of you guys used a monkey’s paw to wish for this!?

  14. gil2455526

    I guess Prime 4 is long ways away and this is a compensation.

  15. Pyrolink182

    Metroid Prime with two analog sticks? Yes, please.

  16. ChuuAcolypse

    Hoping the physical pre order drops soon

  17. TSTUMPMAN

    I guess I’m buying it twice what the fuck

  18. supercakefish

    I was already extremely happy with the announcement, but my hype level turned up to 1000% when I realised it was a same day release. That is simply amazing. I am over the moon!

  19. Elastichedgehog

    Soon we’ll actually be able to legitimately play most Metroid games on Switch.

    * Metroid – NSO
    * Metroid 2 – NSO (as of today)
    * Super Metroid – NSO
    * Metroid Fusion – NSO (coming soon)
    * Metroid Dread
    * Metroid Prime

    Now we just need Zero Mission, the rest of the Prime trilogy and for Prime 4 to still exist…

    Someone called me “blasphemous” and “go back to call of duty” when I mentioned I wanted a Prime remaster/remake that made use of the right stick for the camera movement.

  21. buizel123

    I hope they eventually remaster 2/3 before releasing 4.

  22. WizardofGames

    This is what pure happiness feels like 🥹 I’ve waited since the switch launch for this day to come 😭😭😭😭😭😭

  23. RegrettableDeed

    Its live and I’m about 10 minutes away from playing. I cant remember the last time I squealed at an announcement. I was happy we were getting it at all, but when they said today, I just about had a heart attack.

  24. GayestOfAllBears

    Unironically has me more hyped than the new Zelda lol. This is one of the best games ever made.

  25. marthedestroyer

    Do we know what studio is behind this? Is it Retro?

  26. GammaDevice

    $40 USD is by far the most pleasant surprise I had. I genuinely assumed the worst on Nintendo to go full $60 on this with barely any huge changes.

    It’s not the trilogy, but it’s a better deal than what I first expected it to be.

  27. condorleaduhryz

    Okay I got the Switch 4 years ago to play Metroid Prime on it and not one PEEP until shadow release today. lost hope. The first was my favorite man I’m so happy

  28. Trinica93

    Can anyone confirm if this game supports gyro aiming?

  29. squirtle_illmatic

    Yooo I already downloaded and beat the tutorial space station. Haven’t played the original since it came out and I was in 7th grade. This is so fucking sick. It’s honestly not just upscale resolutions, they re-did a ton of stuff visually. Damn I’m impressed and the dual stick controls + lock on targeting is so much smoother than having to hold R to look around like in the original

  30. zeldor711

    How good is the game itself? It’s got an insanely high metacritic score of 97.

    Is it basically regular metroid (collecting powerups to explore more of the world and unravel the story) but 3d?
