It’s paywalled, so here’s an [archive link](https://archive.ph/hVkYE). Seems analysts and investors are not happy with the lower net profit and hardware forecasts Nintendo put out. They expected Nintendo to increase forecasts thanks to the releases of both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but instead Nintendo decreased its hardware sales forecast once again (from 19 million to 18 million). All eyes now seem to be on Nintendo’s hardware output for the next fiscal year, as recent reports from [Bloomberg](https://archive.ph/I9OSc ) indicate Nintendo will be increasing its production of its aging Switch hardware next year.

Fuck analysts and investors, leeches on society. If it was up to them after the Wii U, Nintendo would be a mobile games publisher and third party developer for Xbox instead of launching one of the most successful consoles of all time. Investors are parasites and they don’t know shit.

I think the text is rather sensationalist… as if Nintendo needs any advice to know when to launch special edition consoles to try and boost sales… Having said that, Nintendo Switch sales are down and I wouldn’t be surprised that HW sales would be closer to the lower end 18m than to the higher end 20m, and I don’t know why would this be such a surprise or seen as a negative thing.. it’s like ignoring the last 30 years of console sales cycles…

Nintendo is always undervalued.

Good ol’ capitalism. It’s not about profit. It’s about infinitely growing profit. It’s not about money. It’s about all the money in the world.

It’s not like Nintendo did not make a profit. They just made less money. They are still well off financially.
Just curious, does that mean they’ll begin to focus on moving to the next bit of hardware?
