I scanned and cleaned the Nintendo Power poster map of Hyrule from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. There wasn’t a good version online before. 2400dpi versions being uploaded

    Here’s a link: [https://archive.org/details/zelda_np_aol_map_hyrule/mode/1up](https://archive.org/details/zelda_np_aol_map_hyrule/mode/1up)

More cleaned up Zelda maps are in my gallery here, I still have a bunch to do though: [https://www.flickr.com/photos/historyofhyrule/albums](https://www.flickr.com/photos/historyofhyrule/albums)

I could never find a good version of this so I bought issue 04, and then bought it again because the first one I bought didn’t have the poster, lol. I scanned it and cleaned it. I’m currently uploading both the RAW scans at 2400dpi as well as cleaned versions at that size and smaller (so it’s easier for people to download.) Right now you can find the 600dpi pdf on the internet archive link above, one version has the original text and one version is like this cleaned one. IA is slow to upload so the zips with the larger files may take a few hours to show up.

    Hope you guys like it!

So the island in the northeast is where the first Legend of Zelda took place?

I always wondered, who would build a maze (top right), like what’s the property value of something like that?

Hear me out: Now that Awakening has had one, Zelda 2 deserves a remastered version more than any other Zelda. It never got a fair shake compared to all the others (next after that would be the Oracle games, followed by Minish).

I would kill for a Zelda II remake. Literally. I’ll do it.

Huh neat. Time to turn this into a custom deskmat

I loved getting maps like this with games or in magazines. It always added to the adventure. I used to take my Link To The Past over world map outside like I was on a quest.

Is old Nintendo Power stuff worth much?

I have the Nintendo Power Guide for Final Fantasy 1. It’s pretty neat. Not mint condition but very good.

  10. Data like this is often overlooked, yet valuable for a bunch of reasons. Good on ya!

Thanks for this OP! I love Zelda and I love maps.

Fun Fact, … the some of the town names in the *Adventure of Link* were reused as the names for the Seven Sages in *Ocarina of Time*.

Ugh, still playing Zelda 1 before I get to 2. Level-5 and 6 are a beech.

Nicely done. Now can you build a full scale model we can all explore?

architecture in older games was so dog shit it’s hilarious, i don’t blame them, limitations of the time, but seriously, wtf
