Conradical Games, the developer of Outbound Ghost, was sued by their publisher for stating that the publisher’s console ports were inadequate, so they’re issuing a DMCA takedown of their own game on consoles.

I’ve been watching this game ever since the Kickstarter finished, and man this has been massively disappointing.
I’m even more worried because another game that I backed that has been in very slow development for years is being released by that same publisher.
These developers need to hire an actual lawyer asap because they’re about to get in a shit load of trouble.

Man, I backed this game for a switch version of it. Feels kinda silly now.
Ooof. A friend of mine picked the game up recently and said there were problems. I didn’t realize it was THIS bad.
I was really excited for the game, but passed on it. And I’m really glad I did.
The DMCA was a stupid move, but is the dev really getting sued for publicly crapping on the console port? That’s messed up. Sounds like a SLAAP suit unless the contract specifically said not to do that.
this whole thing is such a bummer. I was really looking forward to this, and it looks like the dev is getting screwed in pretty much every possible way.
