Colress takes a Legendary Arena tour (11 duos) [Pokemon Masters EX]

Got Colress to 3/5 as the pity pull on Anni N’s banner as I got him to 3/5 two multis before reaching pity. He’s one of my favorite non-rival characters, so seeing him, Hugh, and SS N be introduced in the same update (and the one after SS Wally at that) made my wallet weep lol.

Wanted to do another 11 LAs, 11 duos clear using him to play around with his full grid, but I was surprised that I ended up using pretty much the same grid for most of these clears. I thought I was gonna prioritize getting Static Shock 9 for the full sync, but it turns out Infliction Freebie 9 is much, much more useful, especially in a duo context where gauge is key. And even without Static Shock 9, Colress’ sync was still doing enough damage to clear full bars.

While most of these lean into Colress’ sync nuking potential, some also take advantage of his tanking tools. In particular, Steel Zone makes him a pretty bulky tank, and his Defense debuffs go well with PalMarnie’s kit. Colress’ passive crit buffs were also quite useful for some of his partners.

Cresselia was by far the hardest one here because of Lithe (among other things). As for the easiest, it was probably Tornadus because I got lucky with Self-Cleanse not proccing.
