Completely brushing I’ve the fact that the Switch does not have two screens.

Oh boy, random speculation from a no-name site who’s entire assumption is based on rudimentary pattern recognition. This is a worthwhile article.

This is definitely possible, and would be best executed using handheld mode with the screen flipped sideways. An accessory like [the Flip Grip](https://www.fangamer.com/products/flip-grip) could easily be used to give the Switch a DS form factor.

I doubt its happening, Alot of old ds games heavily relied on touch mechanics, the microphone and both screens.
The only way I can see them realistically bring the (3)DS VC to the switch is to somehow make a second switch act as a controller/touch screen (like how the 3DS was compatible to play Smash on the Wii u) or to rerelease and somehow make the Wii U gamepad a compatible controller with the main switch.

Could it happen? Sort of, with a few major downgrades.
Will it happen? 99.99% sure it will not happen.
How would it handle touch? Specifically, advanced touch (pinching, scrolling, drawing). It would work well only in handheld. They could release a track pad controller, but they most likely won’t.

Just longing for GameCube honestly

I don’t think will actually happen as many of Nintendo more gimmicky products like the ds family and wii games really related in the hardware if they were actually utilizing the two screens, or the motion controls. I’m not saying it impossible but if not done right would produce a subpar result that would be more trouble than it worth

I just can’t see it happening, the hardware is simply too unique.
They’d have to make too many compromises and I don’t think it would end up being a good experience.

I’d say there’s a better chance for the GameCube than the DS…
Merciful_Ampharos
We’ll get Sega Master System Online before Nintendo gives us GameCube or Ds games
foreskin-eater
Are they gonna also gonna speculate how Prime 2 and 3 remaster are coming soon, or Gamecube games will coming to Switch Online.

This is the one I can barely imagine on switch.
Ds with side by side screens just isn’t enjoyable at all.

Now that GB Advance has been added, my #1 dream list system would be Dreamcast. I would honestly take that over DS or even GameCube.
There are so many gems on the Dreamcast that don’t get the respect they deserve! And Nintendo has already shown that they are willing to work with Sega to put at least one of that company’s systems on NSO.

And tell me, how would the microphone work?
MBCnerdcore
How about, if you post a link to a video or article, you have to also say something in the comments here, like as if you honestly wanted to discuss the topic and not just shill your shit.

They should make a first party grip to flip the screen sideways so emulation can happen in handheld. I think there are some third party ones used for shooter-type/vertical screen games
XenobladeAndZelda
I’ve tried some emulators, it’s just not the same as playing in original hardware. I built up a pretty sizable ds /3ds collection because of it. Even if they did it, it probably pass on it.
bizano21
I hope you’re right, but I think you’re wrong.
blueblurz94
Besides touch, there’s also the microphone, which the DS Zelda’s did use.

Don’t click the bait
HuckleberryNormal799
We’ll be getting Nokia n gage before ds lol
GypsyTony416ix
I wouldn’t see it happening since the DS has 2 screens, how would they work with that? Not to mention in those days most of the DS games needed the pen to tap the screen.
NintenZura
I’m the single person here that wants Saturn and Dreamcast added lol
Shadowwolflink
Everyone is talking about Gamecube or DS, and I’m sitting here hoping they do Turbografx-16 games at some point, I want to play Bonk, but I don’t want to get my Wii U out.
skeltord
How would that possibly work? Bad idea, will absolutely not happen
mst3kevin
I’d say it’s not coming unless it’s exclusive to a new Nintendo system that has a way to support it we don’t know about yet.
I also think GameCube will be exclusive to the next Nintendo system on the service. I know I’m just randomly speculating, but so it the original post TBH
OldManTurner
This is definitely not happening. The amount of work that would have to go into porting the games over would probably be substantial
StopMockingMe0
I feel a cool add-on product for the switch could be a ds-enabling attachment.
No idea how handheld mode would work, but TV mode would work a bit like the wii-u where the touch screen is in your hand with the upper screen being the tv.
QuinSanguine
I think it’s more likely DS/3DS games come to the next console, if it has a folding screen. I mean that’s the most likely gimmick for Nintendo to chase next and dual screens would work better with a taller screen. But this is all speculation, right?
