If you’re lucky, some games have the button layout available from a menu. And in-game tutorials are great, but they don’t replace manuals. Sometimes I’m looking for more detail on a concept/procedure than just button assignments or QTE tutorials. Web searches get tired after a while. I want to play a game, not google the procedure on how to craft something.

Personally glad they stopped including booklets because they’re a waste of paper and ink. But props to him for learning such a valuable life skill

To me it’s more than just the lack of physical manual that bothers me, last gen (3DS/WiiU) had [electronic manuals available from the home button](https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/downloads/manual-WiiU-Xenoblade_Chronicles_X.pdf).
