True labor of love. Game is amazing. Wonder when OSX support will arrive. Through Steam or Native would be amazing. I have it on switch, and PC.

I’ve loved it on Switch. I will admit that I very much hope the pop-in can be improved because it’s pretty bad but even if it’s not, I’ll still be playing and enjoying.

I felt with 4.0, -the version I was introduced to on the switch- that the universe is rather… sparse. I ended up putting it down after about 30 hours because there were concepts I’m still not understanding… trade system, navigating around to different bases seems like a lot of work and unknown if I’m selecting the right option to warp to, because I can’t remember the name of a base for the life of me, and the picture of the base half the time never looks accurate. Nail in the coffin was pretty frustratingly long pop-in on my still rather small base once my ship landed, and frequent crashes. I felt more accomplished doing tasks in Astroneer over NMS, and really like the look of their equipment, and 3D print concept.

Alas, two weeks ago Astroneer started to have frequent crashes as well, to a point as of last week, I can no longer load my save… All my upgrades and base design… gone, unless one day there is some new update to the game can help rescue my save file.

I’ll give NMS 4.1 another look.

I need to get back into this. Gave up in the very beginning because I didn’t know how to rebuild the ship. Well, more so put it to the side to come back to eventually.

If they add cloud saving I am 100% gonna triple dip.
Don’t really feel like starting over

I’m debating getting this as I love sci Fi or getting Metroid prime. Never played either

Do you guys think multiplayer will ever be a thing on the switch version?

I know I’m asking too much but I would love to hook up my Labo VR to look around just once 🙂

I really really wanna get into the game proper but the beginning is a bit too slow and aimless and i lose motivation lol, but everything later on seems so cool.

i’ve thought about picking this game up but having watched bits and pieces of other people playing, it just looks totally overwhelming with tons of items, menus, progression systems, hostile environments…any recommended resources for new players to learn the game? or should i really just go in blind?

Hello games devs: *desperately trying to add more filler content before the release of starfield*

I love the support for this game even well after the fixes from the abysmal launch. Even more than the actual updates: the way they are presented beautifully on their website make them easy for folks to understand what has changed rather than having a boring changelog that means nothing to folks who haven’t played the game.

It’s pretty cool to see gyro becoming more common in games. (At least on the Nintendo, Playstation and some Steam games side as Xbox controllers don’t have any motion sensors)

Aiming using gyro aiming is so much faster and more practical, sometimes you move the control by pure instinct and manage to give almost as good precision as a mouse, going back to aiming using only analogue controls ends up being very slow once you get used to it with gyro.

My current hour count is nearing 350 hours played. 😬 It’s ridiculous how addictive exploration and ship hunting can become.

    Just one more warp….

  16. I bought this once early on for ps4. Didn’t play it much. But the devs continuing to support games like this make me want to buy it again and give it another try. I’d be really interested to see how much they sell around the times they do new updates.. anyone know?

For single player gaming, which space game would be more fun: Astroneer or NMS?

Is the switch version now on par with the other versions?

So what has improved in regards to pcvr?

Fractal brings a major performance drop on Switch – almost unplayable now. Please fix soon!

Should I play it on switch OLED or Xbox series S an why?
