On March 9th, in case you only read the title of the post like me and became excited it was available now lol

  2. So is 1 game or so in a few weeks going to be how slow games will be added to GB/GBA for NSO?

Would have expected more than just 1 game since the release of it.

Epic. Should someone who still has their Metroid dread special edition waiting to be played play Fusion first?

Coming March 9th (same day as Mario Kart dlc). Gotta say, not exactly thrilled that it looks like GBA games are gonna be a “one a month” deal like N64 games have been; was kinda hoping it’d be more like NES/SNES/Genesis where they dump 2 or 3 at a time.

Anyway, Fusion’s solid. Not my favorite Metroid but still pretty good. I wonder if they’ll patch the Fusion suit into Metroid Prime Remastered as a nice little throwback to how they could connect back in the day.

Also, once this gets added, it’ll be possible to play every non-remake 2D Metroid on Switch, which is pretty cool.

Damn, everything is coming on March 9th lol.

    -Metroid Fusion

    -Mario Kart Wave 4 DLC

    -Mario Movie Direct

    -The Level-5 Vision presentation

    Gonna be a busy day

Yep, can’t wait to play it on Switch next week!! Now we just need zero mission!

  7. SotRekkr

Awesome! I was kind of hoping for Metroid Zero mission first but I’ll take this too!

Ah hell yeah. I’ve never played this one, been wanting to a purchase a GBA cart but the prices are ridiculous.

I played Metroid Zero Mission back in the day and loved that game. When I rolled credits, I stood up and clapped.

I’m curious if there is some big move about to come along with Metroid. Dread coming out a year and some change ago, Prime Remastered last month, and Fusion coming out in a week. I figure Fusion was already a desired title and helps sell NSO, but I’m wondering/hoping that they are trying to ready people up for the eventual Prime 4, or seeing if getting a full department behind Metroid games are worth it akin to Zelda, Mario/spinoffs, Kirby, FE, AC. Though, this could just be the copium talking.

Yes! Can’t wait for zero mission to get added as well!

Nintendo going all in on Metroid. I love it. Put her in Mario Kart nkw

  12. RollingKaiserRoll

Every time I see that closeup of “Samus”, I imagine a green alien with its mouth agape like 😦.

  13. mattab29

Hopefully zero mission comes down the road

  14. basement_egg

the Nightmare boss theme is amazing, can’t wait to play this again

  15. Sanguiluna

So officially the entire main series will now be playable in some form on Switch.

  16. mumbling_marauder

Before Dread this was the most nerve-wracking Metroid game. Plays more like a horror game in many ways, a great entry to the series.

  17. MrMunday

i thought that was Samus’ mouth instead of her nose in the thumbnail and now i cant unsee it

  18. Might be a silly question but is there something like a roadmap with titles that will eventually come to the GB/GBA library?

This was the game that really got me into Metroid as a kid, however it now is probably my least favorite of the series. I tried replaying it recently, and the pretty extreme handholding, linearity, sign posting and exposition dumping IMO go against everything that define the Metroid series for me.

  20. Nice, the loudest GBA game in existence makes it way over to the Switch!

  21. I wonder if this will unlock the Fusion Suit in Prime Remastered.

  22. cL0udBurn

Fusion is a masterpiece everyone should give it a go.
