Hell yeah
In most case where a movie’s date moves up, it means that the studio is confident that the movie is going to do well.
imax 3D lets go 😎
mama mia
Should have been Mar 10.
Oh man I was already stoked for my bday weekend. Now it’s coming out ON my bday? Next month is gonna be awesome. 🎵 Do the Mario! 🎶
Was planning a release day themed 3 day weekend. What to do now?
I mentioned this in another thread, but thinking it’s due to the long weekend in some markets? Easter holidays, try to get some hype going leading into the holiday weekend possibly
I presume to get extra days in and pile up the opening weekend figures?
Reason being, that would be Easter Weekend. April 7th is a stat holiday in most of Canada and many people don’t do anything on Good Friday because of the religious significance of the day.
April 5th is Passover, 6th is Holy Thursday, and 7th is Good Friday. Then the next week lots of kids have spring break. So for a lot of kids in religious schools, they’ll be out of school early in that week, so this gives it a good chance to make some money while the kids are out of school and the parents or babysitters are trying to find something to do during the day.
But this does ruin the movie release date literally being on Good Friday. I had so many dad jokes lined up for it too
Just keeps moving up till April 1st, then Super Mario Bros. (1993) starts playing at the premiere.
A *Wednesday*? Why? Whole point was to see it on its actual opening Friday night.
never seen anything get the opposite of delayed. it got relayed.
Well, the original release date was my birthday, but I guess I can’t call this *bad* news.
Great. Now I have to go see it on a Wednesday.
Also apparently this applies to the UK as well
Thank god I didn’t call off work yet lol
The only reason they’re moving it to April 5th is because of Easter and Good Friday
I’m surprised they don’t pull a classic Nintendo and release it in America 6 months before Europe.
Okay, start prepping for internet spoilers!
When do big movie premieres like this typically have tickets go on sale? Like a month out? Two weeks?
we get something from Nintendo earlier than Japan!?
Yahoo!!
They missed the mark not releasing this March 10th for Mar10 day. It’s a Friday this year.
Should have been March 10th. Mar10 day!
