It’s a loading screen that clocks your speed. You have to get the needle all the way to the red end for it to go away.

I get this sitting in my living room every time I open the app. The 30 minutes of play time I do a week gets me 0.6km lmao
It’s so annoying. I play on the bus a lot and it pops up at the worst times constantly. I wish there was a way to set it to “hey don’t worry, I’m on a bus and will be for a while”

Take your hands off the steering wheel and scream “Giovanni take the wheel”. That way if you do hit a pedestrian it’s his fault, that way you can continue to catch Pokémon with both hands.

It’s a liability thing so people who play and drive can’t go after the company if there in an accident.
I understand why they added this and blocked pokemon spawns & spinning stops over a certain speed, but man, it’d be real nice if I could actually play while a legit passenger. Especially on long car rides and you go through a super neat city.
