A new patch for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet has been announced for late April, allows players who caught an Egg instead of Walking Wake/Iron Leaves to catch them again in a new run of the Raid event

Game Freak and the Pokémon Company’s credibility is in the toilet. They keep shipping decreasingly polished games, with promises for updates that take months to roll out. They refuse to increase or allocate work because they want to stay a small and focused development team, but ignore the mounting issues that arise from this. They claim to be keeping tabs on the community and listening to complaints, and yet announce a new staggered 35 dollar DLC for a game that released half-baked. The Pokémon Company is satisfied with all of these decisions because they keep making bank off of them.
Unreal they haven’t addressed performance.

Almost half a year later, still no performance patch… They already secured the bag, in their place I wouldn’t care either tbh
I still can’t believe they let people participate in the raids without the latest patch. Requiring the latest version of a game to use online and multiplayer features has only been the standard in the video game industry for over 30 years.

How about a patch to prevent the fans who made it through such a poorly optimized game from losing their save files? JFC Pokemon…
Honestly the game runs so bad I never finished it. I’ve been playing pokemon games since the red and blue days, the 3d pokemon games have been horrible. Gamefreak can make 1 type of game well, anything outside that top down turn based rpg is out of their realm of knowledge.
Gamefreak are so out of touch, jesus christ. Unfinished game, no Home support for like a year, no post game/battle factory, corrupt saves. Doesn’t matter if they’re still making mad bank I guess.
If that’s the only upcoming patch and if that’s all it does then GF is objectively a worse developer than both 343 with Halo and DICE with BF2042.
How do you take such a slam dunk of a franchise, screw it up and then take months to fix hardly anything that the actual players care about the most?
Can they at least fix pokemon spawning in walls, its really crazy this wasnt fixed…
What about save files? I downloaded the DLC and didn’t get a corrupt save file, have no idea if I am still in trouble though? And there’s many people out there who did get a corrupt save.
How about making the game have a frame rate that doesn’t make me physically ill.

And this is why I’ve dug the 2ds out and been playing through XY/ORAS/HGSS.
GF wants maximum profit for minimum effort. There is no reason GF shouldn’t have the best team of game developers other than greed and incompetence.

Is this saying that there will be another raid event for Walking Wake and Iron Leaves for all players? Or is this exclusive to players with the egg bug?

What about people who missed the raids but didn’t encounter the glitch? Will they be able to catch the paradoxes ?

I put this game down after 6 hours because of how slow the game was and how tragic the performance was. Is there any hope this will make my 60 purchase any more fun

As much as I like to buy the game in physical cartridge now, I am not confident to do so.
At least until they fix the bug that can delete the game for no random reason.
Remember the X and Y exploit that deleted your file? I want to avoid that one if possible.
