Man this looks to be everything I ever wanted from a new Professor Layton game.
By the way, for people who have never played the OG games the iOS/Android ports are definitely worth the money, they are great ports.

The puzzles are being designed by a [Japanese group called QuizKnock](https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/QuizKnock), that seems to be a pretty popular puzzle-designing group. They have a YouTube channel with almost 2 million subscribers, have published many books on puzzles and worked on many other quiz/riddle based media projects.
I know plenty of people had criticisms of the puzzle designs in Lady Layton (the first Layton game after the main puzzle designer, Akira Tago, passed away), so it seems like Level-5 listened to the critics and made an effort to switch things up.

I am 100% here for Detective Luke, an American town called Steam Bison and enough puzzles to boil my brain, I love the Layton series!

I know American vs Euorpean games had different voices for Luke originally and I kinda hope they bring that regional thing back becuase I grew up with British English Luke and I really cannot get used to the US portrayal.

I got very nostalgic hearing Layton’s theme in the trailer. Can’t believe we are finally getting a new game continuing the story after Luke left T.T

Loved these games as a kid, very nostalgic, definitely keeping my eye on this.
Lost Future was my favourite, although Curious Village’s atmosphere is unparalleled.
I wasn’t fussed on Azran Legacy or Lady Layton though, never got around to finishing them

So hyped for this! I was really hoping for a port of the original/prequel trilogies to the Switch. I never got around to buying the prequel games and they’re a bit pricey, used copies or otherwise.

No way! Just watched [this video](https://youtu.be/HlBTbb_9zBA) the other day about how the series tragically faded away and got so nostalgic I dug up my old DS. This is such a nice surprise! I hope it’s as good as the old ones

Why don’t they start with bring the original trilogy to Switch? It was such a popular franchise on the Nintendo DS, the HD ports would sell. There even already are HD versions of it on mobile so it would be low effort to bring it to Switch. Completely incomprehensible
