Without Fairy Wind, Togekiss can’t get to its charge moves fairly quickly. I did predict Aura Sphere 100% but no Fairy Wind makes me sad. I have a hundo which I’ll keep Flamethrower on because I wouldn’t care less about building several Togekisses as I also have a 14/15/15 in my collection but that one is going to be used with the best moveset for PvE.
So annoyed with not getting Fairy Wind. I’ll say this, Aura Sphere is only useful for Lucario if you’re using it in raids but for PvP, I agree with Power-Up Punch/Close Combat and Shadow Ball since AS’s stats are exactly the same as SB but in PvE, it’s 90 based power, not 100.

Hope Aura Sphere gets a buff next PVP season. This way Togekiss and Lucario can be OP.

I actually am very happy with this move. Typically when a new season comes out, Niantic tends to give Pokémon new community day moves from the previous season. So maybe blaziken, Lopunny & gallade can possibly get Aura Sphere in the next Pokémon go season!

I don’t mind the Togetic XL candy though. I haven’t played one game in open masters & this gives me a mon to use when I eventually build a few. I don’t have the shiny’s either so I like this community day choice tbh.

I feel like picking up the edrill matchup is actually huge for togi in master. I hope they do give togi fairy wind. Personally I was hoping for that or body slam instead of this…

Aura Sphere is a Flamethrower energy cost clone. Aura sphere does 10 more damage than flamethrower. However, it does cost 10,9,9,9 charm fast moves or 30,27,27,27 charm turns to reach. It takes too long to get there in live battle. Togekiss would benefit from a lower energy cost move like brick break or drain punch. Brick break charm counts would be 6,6,6,6 or 18 charm turns each time. Sylveon had a similar upgrade in the past. They went from 10,9,9,9 (flamethrower clone) counts down to 8,7,8,7 charm counts to reach psyshock
Useless move because their are hardly any normal typing in ML good for UL only because Togekiss can threaten steels with flamethrower

Using the matrix against ML, the best Fairy Wind moveset W/L wise I could find using potential movesets from the video game series was Fairy Wind / Sky Attack + Body Slam. However, that only allows it to gain wins over the Landorus formes in the 1 shields, and Ho-oh and Charm Togekiss in the 2's. However the big difference is the Charm version with Body Slam in the 1's. With some baiting luck, it can pick up 5 additional wins including Groudon and Zacian (w/ Play Rough).
Why would they pick togetic over togepi? What kind of sense does that make?
