This is a global event that’s as simple as taking your system with you to a popular location like a mall or airport so literally anybody can gets tags. This is almost like a send off for the eShop so it’d be really cool to see more people come out to this.

I think we should have a sort of “wireless communication convention”, where we bring things like a 3ds, the poke walker, pocket Pikachus and things alike.
Streetpass was amazing.
I got a 3ds in college and it was awesome passing by people on campus and getting their miis. The games were pretty fun too and I remember completing all the puzzles at one point.
The switch really dropped the ball with not having similar functionality.

Shouldn’t this actually be at all showings of the Mario movie? That’s a little more direct then “go to a popular location”
When StreetPass was a thing I worked at an apartment complex with about 200 apartments. I would carry my 3ds with me at work and get tons of street passes from some of the same people every day. Those were some good old days.
$4.99 for an in-app game???
I thought they were all unlockable! Or at least you could buy then with street pass currency.
