I’m excited for this game and the review makes it seem promising but holy crap they should have gotten someone else to narrate it. It’s like I’m listening to Kermit the Frog review video games.

My wife and I were really looking forward to this game but now we’re hesitant to bother with it since we’re learning it’s unforgivingly hard.
We’re all for a challenge in gaming, but it needs to be realistic and we want to actually enjoy the games we play.

Does anyone have any insight in just how hard it can be? Do you lose all progression every time you die?

  5. Any word on the Switch performance? That’s my main concern. I bought Souldiers on a whim and it was nearly unplayable on Switch.

I bought and played this game in beta (I think around 0.6) and returned it within 90 minutes. I played two rounds. I died in like 5 minutes on the first then beat the game on the second run and felt like I’d played all it had to offer. My personal experience was that it did everything right except for the variance you’d expect with rogue-lites.

There was mostly a single path of biomes, that more or less were the same color scheme, with little to no enemy variance other than their skins. You fought the same bosses every time and your options for build routes was the same for each category every time you selected that category.

It was such a crisp gameplay experience with great art and audio, fun characters, and a cool but brief background lore, but it felt like the gameplay loop was an afterthought. I can’t tell if I’ve been jaded by Dead Cells and Hades or if I played too early, but if they added more to keep you from playing the same way every run then it would be absolutely fantastic.

ive been having serious technical issues with this game on switch. I had the pc version but wanted to check out the switch port. and…. it has some problems. Serious frame dips, slow animations, etc. also my attaack button seems to be stuck on the charge attack which is majorly messing up my experience. Will proabbly stick to PC till that patch it.

Way too hard to beat even when you level up and after beating the bosses you get nothing as far as life and power ups! I want to like this game soooooo bad

I’ve been playing it a bunch and hang ups and frame rate drops are making it borderline unplayable. Bosses and the little combat rooms where you get locked in and fight a bunch of enemies has fps slowing to a crawl.

Really isn’t acceptable. I was hoping for a quick patch release, but nothing yet.

was my first rouqe like game and last dumb the game takes everything away from you if you die even your life so if you have 95 life health bar and you die it wil reset to 65 what kind of bs is that it takes away the motivation to be better ! the levels are empty and boring ,yes the combat is fun the humor and art design is cool but thats all there is at least give me somekind of way to defend my self dashing all the time gets boring fast ! the mini bosses are often times the same i got to level 2 and died and it took me all the way back to level 1 with nothing not even my health lol wtf !! there are better games out there for shure !! and i realy tried to like this game whats the motivation to keep playing if 1 death makes everything go away zero ! and yess i like hard games i finished all the souls games and recently wolong and after that [Planet Cube: Edge](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrEKFbxt5Tk) < recoment it hard but fun and rewarding !!
