Feels like a no-brainer. Game’s literally got the word “Origins” in the name!

Why would this be the end lol

Did anyone think it was?

Bayonetta 3 gave me the feeling of being a mid game, I didn’t even see as many people commenting on the game as it was with Bayonetta 2 (and this was a Wii U exclusive, a console that sold much less than the Switch), that made me it makes you scared of what a Bayonetta 4 will look like in the future.

No it’s the beginning

Nintendo continuously giving Platinum money is great!

I feel like this is taken so out of context given that people weren’t worried about this being the last Bayonetta game, rather being worried that Origins would be Cereza’s last game. GameSpot has an interview that also has a similar answer but is framed much better given the interview’s questions.
Bayonetta 3 Spoilers:
People were worried if this would be the final game with Cereza due to >!Bayonetta dying in the ending of B3 and Viola taking up the Bayonetta name. Because of this, Origins and B3 being released close together would mark Cereza’s first and last adventure. It’s very swansong-like. Given that everyone, according to Kamiya, “misunderstood” the ending of B3 and Kamiya has been emphasizing that Cereza is NOT dead,!< this is definitely more to soothe any concerns that fans of Bayonetta have for the future of the series rather than saying the series is ending.

Is anyone even hyped for this series anymore? Bayonetta started off strong during a time when the only good action game we had coming out was Metal Gear Rising but since then Devil May Cry and God of War both came back better than ever. Companies like Capcom started making high quality games with depth again and other developers took note and gave us games like Hifi Rush, Nier Automata, Sekiro, Nioh 2. Even the past few Final Fantasy games (7R, SOP, 16) look like amazing action games that change up the usual hack n slash formula. I enjoyed Bayonetta 1 when it came out but it has not kept up with the quality of recent action games in either gameplay, story, or graphics.

This seems more to contextualize that Nintendo and Platinum are very aware this is a departure from the established series’ gameplay and therefore might see this underperforming compared to the main series.
I think that’s a good thing that they are still confident enough in taking a risk with releasing this. Too many companies are risk averse, leading to monotony.

Why would it be? It’s not gonna end until they stop selling.

Did anyone even think it was the end? Why did they have to even say that p Lots of potential with that series.

I hope the series goes back to being multiplat, so we don’t have to get sequels with performance issues. The vision deserves to be realized, not caged on poor hardware.
