Love how the new font is the first thing they address, lol. Honestly this looks nice, Im glad they actually did some adjustments for the console versions. Maybe it’s time to dive back into classic Final Fantasy, one more time.

I know I’m in the minority in this, but remixed music kills it for me. Especially 4 and 6. Those were defining RPGs of my childhood and formative years, and a huge part of that was the music. Even the smallest change is something that glaringly sticks out to me. Like removing the breath sound in the Narshe theme and replacing it with some instrumentation; I just cannot get over that.
Someone hack in the original SNES soundtrack and I’ll happily give it a go.
Edit: Watched the trailer and saw it said you could switch between the original new BGM. I don’t remember that being a thing on the PC release. If that means I can have the original tracks then this just jumped way, way up on the list.

Is there any specific reason why this isn’t on Xbox? I’m a PC Switch guy, but couch game on Xbox. Even PC missed out on crystal chronicles remastered. Like Square is just becoming laughably bad at business. Retroarch it is… To play the superior versions of all these I guess.

Why in the world did this take so long? When I bought my switch – what feels like a lifetime ago- I thought it’d be the perfect way to play old JRPGs in handheld mode. Surely I’d see these and FF tactics early on. 6 years and god knows how many hours of plane flights, road trips, and hotel nights since then i finally get to use the switch on these.
I’m still excited. Just unsure if I’ll try to hold out for these to join the cyclic FF sale cycle or not.

So I’m new to the pixel remaster of FF, and I have a question: does the physical version have all 6 FF on one cartridge, or is it 6 separate physical copies, aka 1 PER GAME? Thanks!
