At least there’s a little bit of difficulty.

  2. Supergamer138

It was definitely a step up from everything that came before. It is the first Kirby boss where I voluntarily ditched my copy ability because inhale was just easier to use.

  3. 64-bit_Ryan

Not at all, they’re more fun if they’re a challenge

  4. Dukemon102

You can cheese it so easily with the Ice Copy Ability.

  5. BaulsJ0hns0n86

Nah, it was fair and fun.

Kirby final bosses traditionally have been a step up for the rest of the game (from the ones I’ve played anyways)

  6. TheCode555

I did it during boss rush, seemed doable. Especially with extra health going in.

  7. The game has an easy mode, but even on normal the difficulty can be drastically lowered to (imo) a super easy level by just taking the time to stay fully stocked up on health/buff items. I wonder if the people who complain about the difficulty of the endgame or boss rushes being too high maybe just hadn’t thought of that?

Nooo it was perfect, final bosses are supposed to be a big challenge to overcome, I don’t think they should dumb it down for the next one 🙁

    I don’t get this nonsense.

Nintendo’s publishers obsession with babying their audience. Boss battles need challenge otherwise they get boring. The 2D Mario games are so boring because all I have to do is hit the Koopalings in the head 3 times for each 7 of them that exist! Make Kirby, Metriod, Mario, and Zelda challenging. Or at least make an extra mode that is hard that I can access. This has been an issue for far TOO long. Please don’t apologize.

Are they kidding? I enjoyed the final battle a lot but it was definitely challenging in normal/hard mode. 😅

    Greatest game ever!

  12. If they’re taking about the Chaos version of the last boss in the colosseum, I might agree. That was pretty tough compared to the rest of the game.

Give Kirby to From Software, then watch how people react.

    To steep?
My daughter is 10, and she beat it with ease.

As a very (in)famous youtuber once said:

    “It’s like Dark Souls, guys!”

  16. porksaus

Is this a good game to play? I’m looking for something to scratch my “Mario Odyssey” itch.

I dunno, I feel like that made it scarier and more meaningful to fight. Most memorable part of the game for me if it’s Chaos Elfillis we’re talking about. Even for kids, this is absolutely within the realm of a fair challenge. My only problem was initially surviving long enough to start learning the patterns. I mean, it was about on the level of a Megaman boss in terms of difficulty.

  18. darkpretzel

I would not advocate for making Kirby bosses any easier. It’s more fun when you have to try more than once! Plus there’s Spring Breeze mode for a reason

  19. Russell_SMM

It wasn’t too steep, it was just right. Personally, I was absolutely delighted to actually be dying to main story bosses in a Kirby game

  20. spidersteph

No, it was perfect. Keep it up Hal, best Kirby game to date

  21. maxcorrice

Just stop with the endurance based boss rushes

  22. Thymogpie

Too steep? It can be cheesed with most of the game’s abilities, namely needle which can disarm Fecto Elifis of its orbs in the second phase, or if you want to be really degenerate Morpho Knight sword.

  23. starchimp224

Compared to the rest of the game it was definitely a stop up but I still loved it. I would have been fine with even more of a challenge honestly

  24. anewfoundmatt

I think it was tough but fair. It was nice to see a little challenge in a Kirby game

  25. NickMoore30

My 5 year old son loved this game and finally had a game he could fully play through… until the ending boss lol. He needed the old pro to take over.

  26. kevinernest

When I was a kid I had Dreamland 2 for my old yellow brick game boy. When I finally got all the collectibles and got to fight Dark Matter I was stoked. When I finally beat the last stage 50ish or so lives later I was so pumped. Still remember it 22 years later.

  27. maximusprime7

I really enjoyed it, and I hope this doesn’t start a trend where they make the bosses “easier”. It was an epic final battle against Elfilis and I remember it fondly!

  28. YouPeopleAreGarbage

Difficulty was perfect. The new game plus was challenging. Arena is even more challenging. Kirby has always had a variety of difficulties based on how much game you want out of it. They shouldn’t change a thing.

  29. Nanobro3

I personally loved it. The game starts out with Kirby romping through the grass having a good time, and ends with home facing the god of the universe in an all out death battle while time and space bends around you at the will of god. It goes 0-100 outta nowhere and I love it.

  30. Not much different from most modern Kirby games then.

The devs like to make the game easy for a beginner to pick up and visually appealing for kids and people that don’t like the hyper realistic graphics of modern game design. In that same vein, they like to make sure that there is an actual challenge in playing the game for that 100% completion mark. The new boss they added in Return to Dreamland Deluxe is actually pretty insane.

Kirby is pretty great at ticking all the boxes for things people will enjoy.

  31. HylianSwordsman1

Definitely have to disagree. It’s a step above the other bosses, as it should be, but if you get all the upgrades, it should be a piece of cake. The new game + version of it is even harder, but still only a moderate challenge if you’re fully upgraded. Then the true final form of the boss in the last arena is a genuine challenge, but then the whole arena cup is a challenge, the challenge is the point at that point in the game. Even with the challenge, buying the power ups from the shop, and using a max upgraded sword, I still beat it my first try. The teleport dodge on the final version of the sword is just too good. What matters is that it’s a satisfying fight that makes full use of your skills and you feel like a badass. It does that perfectly, I wouldn’t change a thing.

  32. aberrantwolf

I appear to be in the minority here, but as a father playing with his 6 year old… I really wouldn’t have minded that boss being a bit easier. My opinion is not all games need to be challenging. This one kept me engaged well enough with the light task of figuring out where to go next and looking for secrets that I had a blast the whole way with my kid.

  33. Life-Location-6281

I just finished the game last night (post game). That final boss did take me 6 or 7 times, but it felt so good once I beat it. Loved the game. Don’t change.

  34. I haven’t finished it yet, I am on the last section of the game but I remember when I was younger and better at games, the last boss on the NES Kirby’s Adventure was tough as nails. Last bosses should be difficult to get through.
