   So is this like a musou, or perhaps something more like a Trials of Mana? The footage I’ve seen makes me think more of the latter. I’d be up for either.

   I absolutly will look forward this game. I wish it was an turn based rpg like other mainline dragon quest games However seeing all the gang is welcome.

   I don’t really get Dai. It just seems nothing like DQ to me, it barely even incorporates the same character and monster design philosophy. It feels more like Dragon Ball, where you’ll occasionally recognise a DQ character or notice some design similarities between an alien and a DQ monster, but it’s mostly just a nice Easter egg or an example of Toriyama’s style.

    For anyone interested, this is a party-based ARPG (can swap between members) with an action combat take on the usual Dragon Quest set up. It’s not a musou or anything, and it retells the entire anime’s story. The writing is absolutely fantastic, and gameplay looks great.
