I think its nice that DeNA added more parameters and a higher point ceiling for Master Mode, but some of these points (namely Standard Reduction and Physical/Special Reduction) are really just free points if you just play the stages On-Type, so it didn’t really change much. However, it lets me go for maximum peepee with these clears in terms of the point total, so I don’t mind too much.
I was originally gonna skip the units this month because I was low on gems after the Galar Master Fairs, but then they came out with Detective Steven and I couldn’t resist. A lot of people initially wanted to run him with SS Hilda, as she is technically a more consistent Fire DPS as the second coming of SS Red, but SC Steven’s kit complements SS May perfectly, letting her easily set up her nuke and also buffing Blaze Kick’s damage. Blaziken is also just way cooler than Victini (not biased or anything), so I’m gonna be using this team comp a lot in the future. Note that this team doesn’t necessarily need to be On-Type, as May’s nuke and PMUN-boosted Blaze Kicks still chunk Off-Type.
