Wally takes on Piers’s Extreme Battle Event with 10 teammates [Pokemon Masters EX]

There may be a different Fighting-type rival in the spotlight today but that’s not gonna stop me from using best boy hahaha. Thankfully this stage’s gimmicks don’t really deter Wally from accessing his multipliers – all the AOE moves lets him outbuff Slo-Mo, at least in the early-game.

Did five clears with him, all with different teammates. Here’s how each battle went and the sync grids used:

I think this is possible with 1/5 Cobalion? Wally will have a bit of a harder time with the lack of AOE Defense buffs and Cobalion not having his sustain tools but technically Cobalion only really needs to focus on spamming Rock Smash on Obstagoon. Melony once again shines in an EBE with her combination of Sing and G-Max Resonance.

One of the main gimmicks of this stage is the constant Defense and Sp Def buffing on Obstagoon, which ends up powering his sync move. While Defense debuffs are quite common across the boosted pool – what with all the Rock Smash users – Sp Def debuffs aren’t. The rest of these clears is me trying to find the few other Sp Def debuffers and pairing them with Wally and a tank with healing lol.

For this one it’s Bede and Sonia, and Sonia’s quite good as she also takes care of the Defense debuffs. I got Hard Knocks 9 and Stupefier 4 on Bede to maximize the debuffs.

NC Hop already receives a lot of comparisons to SC Diantha so it’s not surprising that she also does well in this stage. While her debuffs aren’t as quick as Hop’s, her sync move is just as terrifying. Palentines Bea tanks for this clear, though that’s mostly thanks to her flinches and heals.

Been a while since I used Anni Raihan as a debuffer, but he does ramp up those Sp Def debuffs thanks to Mind Boggler 9 and his Mind Games 2 lucky skill. While this stage tries to counter SSA Cynthia by making Obstagoon use Dark Wish in awkward times, she is still a fantastic tank for this stage – which isn’t a surprise since she’s a fantastic tank in off-theme EBEs lol.

Got him on the third multi, which is a huge relief as it puts me in a much better position to get the other two. Here’s hoping they’re just as cooperative! NC Hop of course makes short work of this stage as it was made with his kit in mind. This is my first time using him in a boss battle (I did this before the Bulu solo) – I’ll give him a proper spotlight in tomorrow’s video.
