I have been having the same issue if I play on my iPad for any Great or Ultra balls. Not sure why

The “Whoops! Maybe You Should Buy More Coins” Ball. Between the balls failing to load in and the ones you drop by accidentally touching the space just below the “Run” button, it seems almost intentional how many way there are for even experienced players to waste pokeballs.

Ultra ball, if it’s the same one that I was using when I got this. I just put it down and when I picked it up again it was visible.

Glitch ball. Completely randomizes the data for the caught Pokémon without regard to normal limits. Not sure what an IV of -127 does? Me neither but I’d love to find out.

My great balls did this a few times, and always ghosted right through the Togetic.
Except for the times they were knocked away .
And then one my buddy bounced the ball back, but instead of hitting the Togetic at the bottom, it hit the top of the screen instead.
