    The games are:

    * Pulseman
    * STREET FIGHTER II’ : SPECIAL CHAMPION EDITION
    * Kid Chameleon
    * Flicky

    I’m glad so many people are going to get to play Pulseman. I originally played it on Sega Channel and it’s stuck with me all these years. Also lots of people are going to be talking about how this was GameFreak’s original electrified hero.

  3. thequeensucorgi

    Yay! I had been convinced by some people on this subreddit that Nintendo/NERD had abandoned the Genesis app. Excited to try these out.

  4. Makegooduseof

    Is it just me, or does it seem like the Sega tier is getting far more familiar titles than the NES or SNES did?

  5. ShinobiGotARawDeal

    Looks like I picked the wrong month to be epileptic.

  6. Riomegon

    FINALLY a way to play Street Fighter 2 on Nintendo Switch! 😏

  7. Dippyskoodlez

    Kid Chameleon is one of my absolute favorite Genesis games. Highly recommend.

    I’m really surprised to see Street Fighter 2 on the Nintendo Switch Online service considering that Capcom is still profiting from this game through various collections and re-releases.

    It’s kind of ironic that the Sega Genesis is getting far more third-party support than the Super Nintendo library on the NSO. (Maybe it’s because the SNES is the base subscription and the Sega Genesis is the more expensive Expansion Pak subscription, but if that’s the case then games like MegaMan: Legends/64 and Resident Evil 2 are not impossible in the NSO’s Nintendo 64 library )

    Also, play Pulseman, this is one of Game Freak’s pre-Pokemon games and it’s really fun.

    “Man you know what I need? A 75th way to play street fighter II”

  10. raisinbizzle

    I know Flicky might seem like an underwhelming choice, but it is one of my favorite classic arcade games. The jump physics work really well, the risk/reward system is intriguing, and unlike most other classic arcade games I feel like I can play a decent amount before losing. It’s worth 10 minutes of your time to play a round

  11. TiredOfGrowing

    As someone who never grew up with this system and had a SNES, what should I start with?

  12. pond-dweller

    I’m gonna need Chakan: The Forever Man next pls

  13. SF2 for Genesis is a very special version of the game that in many ways tops even the arcade. It’s just too bad the official Genesis Switch controller is three button, though there are plenty of third party options.

  14. Lupinthrope

    I want my GB-GBA pokemon games dammit..

  15. FruitJuice617

    Is…every level in Pulseman so chaotic looking? I’m a smidge colorblind and I just don’t think I could play that.

  16. Broseppy

    Does plus expansion mean you need to pay Nintendo the extra bullshit, or do you get the Genesis games with base online?

  17. devonathan

    Great collection of games. Flicky is burned into my muscle memory and I love picking it up every couple years and breezing through the game just to remind myself I still have it.

  18. Beornwyn

    Do you think there’ll be any mainline Pokemon games in NSO ever?

  19. I’m happy and all, but are we seriously waiting 2 months between GBA games? I’ve been waiting for Kirby and the Amazing Mirror since NSO got GBA and it’s been almost 3 months!

  20. Ballsohard64

    Can they stop putting random ass title screens in with every other game being the box art. The shit looks so bad. Why is there like one or two random games in every app that has to look so out of place because they can’t use the box art.

  21. AntiChangeling

    These are all must-include iconic games when it comes to a Genesis/Mega Drive library. Glad they made it! Kind of surprised Street Fighter II’s in there considering it’s available for purchase in multiple ways on the eShop.

  22. Reset_Tears

    * Flicky — A classic that I’ve always been a big fan of. If you like old arcade games along the lines of Bubble Bobble or the OG Mario Bros, give this one a fair shake. The way it tempts you into saving all the chicks in one go for maximum points really pushes that risk/reward element.
    * Kid Chameleon — I’ll be honest and say I found it a middling platformer. There are a lot of levels, but they’re not well designed. At least now you’ll be able to save your progress.
    * Pulseman — One I haven’t played before. This always makes it into “hidden gems” lists for the Genesis/Mega Drive, so I’ll have to at least give it a try. The preview in the video was kinda painful on the eyes tbh, but maybe I’ll get used to it.
    * Street Fighter 2 — They fight on the street??? Two??? I don’t really get it, but maybe it’s good, let’s all find out. The title implies there’s a special champion. eyes_emoji

    I played Flicky and Kid Chameleon soooo much as a kid, hell yeah.

  24. moose702

    Wow, seeing the cover art for Kid Chameleon brings back memories

  25. OrangeStar222

    I always wanted to play Pulseman. A game made by GameFreak before Pokémon released. When do these drop in April?

  26. crday2939

    How are we getting Genesis versions of Contra and Street Fighter and no SNES versions? Does Nintendo favor Sega?

  27. PhilLovesBacon

    So Pulseman is why there are those epilepsy warnings?
