Probably the closest thing we will get to a Godzilla game on Switch

If you love Kaiju movies, or maybe grew up playing one or more of the Pipeworks Godzilla trilogy, do NOT sleep on this.

It’s not gonna blow your mind or turn up at EVO, but it’s a real fun time.

The devs have also been openly polling players to feel out collab options, including the likes of Gamera, Ultraman, Power Rangers and Attack on Titan, if crossovers excite you.

Wonder if this is anything like the old PS2 game War of The Monsters?

    That was a fantastic game.

As a Kaiju and Godzilla fan, I’ll allow this

I have Gigabash on PC and its really great.

It’s a party brawler with a decent amount of depth to it. A lot of people compare it to the old Godzilla games (Destroy all Monsters, etc), but its a lot faster and “lighter” feeling than those games.

The basic battles are very fun, but the real enjoyment comes from the party modes. There are some really weird modes/modifiers that are a blast to play with friends. You can just put on a long playlist of weird game types and have fun. I really wish Smash Bros. had something like it.

There’s not a ton to do single-player wise, and I’m not sure how well this will run on Switch, but if you’ve got people to play with, especially kids, I’d recommend it if you can shell out it’s asking price (assuming it runs okay on Switch).

I feel bad for this game because its criminally underrated, but a lot of that is the fault of the marketing team. It’s too expensive (at least on steam), doesn’t have any sort of roadmap for future content (other than a few tweets gauging interest), and it feels like they aren’t pushing the game as hard as they could be. Like why was this only shown in the JP indie showcase?

The Godzilla DLC is really cool and they definitely should try to get more crossovers going.

EDIT: Apparently the game is 10 dollars cheaper on Switch than it is on Steam? Never mind about my price issue.

Can’t wait! Godzilla DLC is an instant buy just so I can play as my big boi.
