**NOTE**: There is no official battery replacement for the New non-XL 3DS. 🙁

  2. The Wii U Pro Controller uses the same battery as the 3DS just so you know.

Do they still offer repairs to the “New” Family of 3DS systems?

So it’s out of stock. Are they being scalped or something?

I bought one a few days ago and it came with 0% charge and lasts 1 hour more than the old plump battery the 3ds came with. So 2hr 45min. Max brightness. Not sure whether to be a little disappointed or not.

Update: It appears that this is par for the original 3DS as discussed in this old NBC news article: https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/vita-beats-3ds-battery-life-test-flna118336 (Third paragraph down.)

I’m surprised the PSP had such a generous battery life. I would have thought it would be similar to the 3DS.

My OG 3DS just suffered battery bloat.

Are these hard to get ahold of or something? I didn’t expect it would be difficult to get them.

  7. I replaced my battery recently and I’m really glad I did because my old batter was a little inflated. I highly recommend people at least open up their 3DS’s to at least check on the battery

I would love to buy a 3ds XL but I can’t find any that aren’t severely overpriced second hand.

Awesome, I can finally get a new battery after my last one ballooned and broke the back of my 3Ds. The support rep literally had no idea what to do and even offhandedly suggested ifixit or another reputable third party

Man, the first five words of this post title were great, then the next two took me on a Scott’s Tots rollercoaster ride.
